I had the misfortune of driving behind one of your vans today just coming past Miller & Carter. Your driver stopped abruptly and stones came off the back of your van and hit my bonnet and windscreen, as well as the vehicle next to me in the right hand lane. I pursued your driver, holding my horn and flashing my lights for him to stop but he continued on. I was on my own and cant recall the numberplate of your vehicle. When i got to my destination and checked my car, you have caused damage to the front bonnet and windscreen 🤬 judging by your reviews about your customer service, i doubt you will care enough to cover the cost of the damage and I'm not putting my insurance premium up chasing you for the cost of repair. I suggest that if you’re carrying loads like this that they are properly secure. If you don't believe me, you can go drive up the road it happened on as all the gravel is still on the road!

I do almost all of Direct Mini Mix pump work with my line pump. I find them fantastic to work with and the staff professional and helpful always . It was a shame to see a bad review from David but we chose the best and safest route to do the job with minimal damage and took as many precautions as we could to avoid any damage. I did indeed accident treat on a pit upstairs whilst trying to balance a pipe on my shoulder and get through a tight space but we managed to do the job with minimal mess and David now has his floor with my line pump that a boom was a able to do

Great service. On time, clean and very helpful.
Professional with excellent communication from the original enquiry through to the delivery.

Never had concrete pumped before and was a bit apprehensive about our 12 tonne pour as it was on a slippery steep slope. The lads that delivered and pumped the concrete were very helpful and gave some great advice. The result of which meant there was next to no wastage and the pour was quick and efficient.

Would recommend Direct Mini Mix without hesitation and will certainly use them again.

I ordered concrete and a line pump from Direct Mini Mix. They recommended a boom pump after reviewing pictures of site access. They subcontracted to Southern Volumetric Concrete for the boom pump. The pump actually came from Southern Concrete Pumping, which has the same registered address. The boom pump operator left site before the concrete mixer arrived. They said a boom pump was inappropriate for the task but it turned out they had to get to another job. Direct Mini Mix apologised for the non-performance of their subcontractor. They said they had relocated their own line pump to do the job and that their pump driver had done a site visit. He had confirmed such a pump was suitable and Direct Mini Mix confirmed that delivery would be over the rear garden wall. On the day the line pump arrived, it was driven by a different driver. The operator would not deploy the pump line as previously agreed . He selected a different access route, which meant that all the protective measures I had put in place were bypassed. I had to create new protection of doorways, threshholds and vulnerable PIR insulation while the pump was deployed, as best I could in very little time. Consequenrly, the pump operator did crush some of the insulation upstands on the revised route. Still, I do now have my floor slab in place but the whole saga was a very stressful experience. I will not be using Direct Mini Mix when I get to the screeding stage of my build. Had the first delivery gone ahead this might have been a five star review. However, Direct Mini Mix still seems to hold others to blame and I am out of pocket as I had to pay for my groundworker twice over. Direct Mini Mix is also out of pocket as they had paid up front for the boom pump so they don't like my review but it was their choice in the first place.

Avoid this company. They only think about money. They can commit a mistake but the customer not. As agreed I would pay by cash when the service was finished. but I had to give my card details to hold the money as company policy. I’ve emphasised that I didn’t want to pay by card. They went to the wrong address and my neighbour said he didn’t request the concrete. So they charged on my card the amount. Somehow they found down it was the wrong address and they came to me afterwards but the amount was charged before they even started the service . They arrived earlier and I said the time agreed was between 3.30 to 4.30 . The rude lady said no… the time agreed was between 3 and 4.30 . So I said I was almost certain that the time was from 3.30 so maybe I misunderstood the time. Is there any possibility you wait at least 15 min as we not ready. The lady said I don’t care if we have to start later but I will start to charge you from 3 and that’s it. No compassion for others at all. They committed a mistake charging me before the service and by card , they didn’t apologise at all and even that. Couldn’t be flexible… at the end I had to Pay £224.40 on top of the amount agreed. I didn’t have change . I give them £230 and they didn’t have either. So I have asked £ 220 pay? And guess what ? Of course not I will take it from your card. And £4.40 was taken from my card . Avoid avoid avoid avoid . Horrible service. We are living in a delicate period , everything is more expensive and as human beings we have the duty to help others , have compassion. It’s not all about money . Be the difference in this blood world.

We've been using Direct Mini Mix for a few years now and can honestly say the service has always been excellent, the staff are always ready to help and super friendly, the products are top quality, I would highly recommend this company for all your aggregate needs

Just a feedback which I will share in Dorset area on behalf of experience with your company.

Customer service :
• Delivery was late. Expected delivery time was between 08:30 - 9:30 and delivery was 10:05.
o No phone call about delay from driver or main office.
o No apologies or explanation.
• Driver wasn’t nice. Unprofessional customer service.
o Driver was demanding and blame customers for delay.

Charges :
• 10 min free for unload concrete is not enough. Time is counted before unload start.
o Customer should have enough time to unload what has been delivered.
o Unload performance should be in range of human performance with main point placed in security to avoid injuries.
o Charges should be calculated on base of amount of concrete to unload.
o Extra charges should only apply if there is significant time breach.

Very disappointed taking in consideration hard times we all are going through.

Unfortunately they had a concrete plant malfunction but when they realised we were in the water table with a sewage plant and a collapsing old soakaway they sourced the concrete from another plant and delivered it within two hours. Made me and the septic tank crew very grateful. Will definitely use again
