Our family run post office is the central hub of the community, providing an excellent postal service as well as basic supplies including newspapers, cards, food and drink. David, Clare and James are always so helpful, patient and efficient no matter how many parcels I bring in! They greet everyone with a genuine warmth and kindness making running errands a pleasant experience. No matter what life throws their way, they’re always there for our community through thick and thin. Thank you all for being utterly brilliant and providing an excellent resource in our village.

The post office is an incredibly important village asset. The post master is a gem who helps with lots of things happening in the village using the post office as a conduit. In a small village (population around 2000), with many older inhabitants who were it not for such a shop/bank would have to travel some distance to an equivalent, (and public transport is virtually non existent), the loss of the post office would be a major blow and lead to significant hardship.

Ditchling Post Office is an integral part of village life. It does far more than sell stamps and newspapers. It provides essential stores as well as cards,stationery and alcohol. With many working from home, it offers parcel postagefor small businesses and a parcelcollection point,reducing the need for multiple deliveries to individual properties. It serves as a hub for local events and ticket purchases thereof. It's a central point for communication for the community. The PO staff go above and beyond in 'looking out' for the vulnerable. It's well positioned at the cross roads in the centre of the village.

David and Clare are extremely helpful and provide a central hub for the whole community, which is especially important for the older people in the village. Not only providing post office services, but act as a central point of communication for everyone.

We really need keep our post office, it is the only shop we have left in the village where we can buy essential provisions (milk, bread etc) particularly for people that do not have cars. Public transport in Ditchling is almost non existent, buses to Hassocks and Burgess Hill are limited to a short time frame and only for one or two days during the week.

Thank you for providing such wonderful and essential services for the village. I use the postal service regularly for my business, as well as buying newspapers, greetings cards, stationery and the occasional snack. Ditchling would not be the same without you and we would all have to get in our cars and drive elsewhere several times a week.

This post office has been the best one around here for decades, in terms of politeness, helpfulness, reliability and all-round excellent service and now that Hassocks PO has shrunk to a tiny corner of Morrisons without enough room for parcel storage, and being unreliable as to opening, it is very helpful to be able to come over to the always-reliable Ditchling, where everything is better. Thank you to the Ditchling team for being the best a Post Office can be.

This Post Office is widely regarded as one of the most important resources in the village, providing many services above and beyond those of most Post Office stores. For almost any charitable or community purpose in the village one can rely on the Post Office to do things such as collecting or providing forms, leaflets etc. Thus it provides a major cohesive force for the good of the whole community, seven days a week.
