This is a big, well stocked charity shop. Good prices too. They have furniture, electricals, bric-a-brac, home goods, collectibles, kids toys, and the entire upper floor is full if clothes.
Currently (August 2023) they're having a sale on wedding dresses with prices as low as £10!
I've found lots of things for myself here and have always experienced helpful friendly staff.

I went into the shop to hand in a donation when extremely rough woman (hopefully not the manageress?)came literally running from the sorting area to shout at me in front of other customers that they will not accept it. The attitude and behaviour was appalling and this lack of professionalism brings shame to this once good charity. Other customers present at the also expressed their disbelief. Why is it always staff from Dorothy House charity shops acting duper unprofessional?

The manager is so rude, you feel judged as to the quality of your items and whether if has a fancy enough label. What happened to being grateful?

Also if you aren't taking certain items put a sign on the door so people don't lug a heavy box of books in only to be told to take them away. It's not difficult.

Dotty house - not the bargain powerhouse it once was, I blame staff familiarity with eBay and possibly cash in the attic together with a distinct lack of assistants heavily on the autism spectrum as was the case traditionally in years gone by. It seems , what with the national financial apocalypse that all those unwanted trinkets of the dead are now so dearly needed by our rapidly swelling impoverished that it's allowed the likes of Dorothy house to become a cut throat highly competitive business, wallowing in a seller's market and as society further crumbles things can only get better for the money hungry carers of the terminally ill. God bless em.

(They do have a returns policy but to be honest, if you do return anything you're probably going to Hell)

It is cheap for clothing and shoes. It's a good place to get second hand . Toys and bric-a-brac. Some furniture, not overpriced. Worth a look. So much cheaper than Bath charities. Children's clothing is very good/ ladies section.
