Wonderful private members club, with function room, used most days for many purposes, and a youth club on set nights. Lovely lounge are with bar, very pleasant bar staff, nice size function room. Very well priced. Very friendly indeed, integral part if the village community

I went to watch my grandson play football.
There were NO facilities open all morning,including toilets.
The pitch was a disgrace for an u/13s match in my opinion.
The grass looked like it had not been cut for a month.
There were NO pitch line markings whatsoever. This had to be done with cones.
And we wander why we struggle to produce promising footballers at junior level

what a fantastic place !!!
I popped in here one Friday night and have been coming down here ever since .
That was in 1973.
Approx 100 kids a week in a youth club run by Volunteers.
Started by the late PG Layton in 1952.

Nice little shops, cafes and a lovely garden centre, not to.mention the beautiful gardens. All this makes for a lovely day out.
