After being treated like a hypochondriac and an attention seeker, my friend who was suicidal was told he wouldnt recieve any more treatment from the centre. The staff were rude to him and disdainful which made him feel worse. I have spent the last 2 weeks staying with him as i worry he may try to kill himself. These people are an absolute disgrace to this profession and should be struck off. I'm curious as to how many people have killed themselves due to the lack of compassion and support from this joke of a service. Lack of finances does not excuse the horrific attitude of this service. Kindness and understanding goes a long way.
Treating people like theyre a burden goes against the whole ethos of this work. Every single one of you should be ashamed and step down from your position.

This place is an absolute joke, the staff rude and uncompassionate and don’t care in the slightest. I have been referred here 5 times from my gp expressing suicidal thoughts and they have rejected me every single time for reasons that make no sense. I also caught them in a lie while they explained stuff I apparently said over the phone. I’ve lost all faith in mental health services after experiencing this place and I’ll be taking this matter further to try make this place better for everyone.

Worst possible place to try get help for mental health. Passed me between different doctors, the reception team are arrogant and horrible. I got diagnosed with ADHD and other mental health problems but they think you can go sit in a room with other people and talk about your problems with severe anxiety and other health issues. Completely avoid this place if you don’t want to feel worthless.

Shocking attitude from psychiatric nurse and receptionist (Stacey).
They have conveniently lost my letter of complaint, so I have decided to escalate my complaint when a simple acknowledgement and apology would have diffused the situation

The dad to my son is constantly getting let down here, I can see him getting worse and worse but they keep brushing him to aside and not helping at all. I can see he feels like he doesn't matter to anyone at all and they are making him feel worse instead of taking in consideration that he's been made to feel this way his whole life and try to help. Absolutely disgusting how they are treating him

My family member has been under the care of the cpns here for years. Now my family member has been discharged from their service and left to get on with it basically, after challenging them about who made the decision to begin discharge procedures against them, which they are entitled to ask and as it turns out, my family member was lied to as we suspected all along, with them putting the blame on someone else. They obviously think my family member isn't worthy of a care plan anymore. It's not the client's problem that they have part time cpns!!! All for the sake of having one less to worry about. My family member also had the phone put down on them mid conversation with one of these people after bieng messed about for months Disgusting behaviour from those in a so called "caring" profession. What a way to treat people who only want to know what's going on. Since when did lying become part of a job description? They are utterly incompetent, untrustworthy and outright liars. Don't know how they sleep at night, treating folk like this who look on the service as their lifeline, all to reduce the numbers on their books. Couldn't organise a bloody raffle never mind keeping to appointments that were pre arranged. Shambolic to say the least. Absolutely disgusted and beyond fuming.

This service is absolutely shocking. I’m surrounded by people who are either suffering or suffered with their mental health and the service never seems to be particularly willing to help or empathetic.

I had a singular appointment with my psychiatrist to which he gave me three options of medications, when researching these medications I found that they’re not suitable for those with an addictive personality and may cause suicidal thoughts or hallucinations. I’m appalled by how the mental health service has deteriorated over the years and seriously hope it can improve before more people lose their lives.

The psychiatrist is fantastic and all consultations so far have been great however the reception/administrative staff have a completely unfriendly and unhelpful attitude. When querying the time of a prescription being sent out to my gp for an important change in my medication she continued to tell me the letter had not been typed up or send due to their non urgent process and that I just need to wait because my letter is not urgent? She got cheeky with me when I asked her to escalate this to the original doctor as I believe this to be a mistake. Avoid all contact with their front line staff, it’s as if they’re trained to be horrible to anyone who calls. Considering it’s a mental health service it’s a bit concerning.
