I always find great furniture finds in here, snagged a lovely mid century sideboard which they arranged delivery for at a small extra cost.

I had to measure the space when I got home so phoned back and all arranged via the phone even with a bad line we made it work. Friendly sales assistant was very helpful 🙂

The employee at the store in Bishops is unfortunately rude. The last time we went, he raised his voice for no reason and made us feel very bad. Although we had no wrong attitude or behavior towards him, I wonder the reason behind his behavior. Although it is a charity store, it is ultimately a store that provides service. This is really not nice.

Interesting charity shop, which uses funds raised to the maintain Parndon Wood in Harlow. The shop is spread over two levels and relies on donations for its stock. The retail space has no slatwall, instead it is reliant entirely upon freestanding garment rails, and this I assume allows them to accomidate large space changing furniture. There is further retail space on the first floor, which is sometimes used by external bodies, such as the Bishops Stortford Art Society, who have utilised the space for exhibitions.

Always buy books and clothing from here usually in pretty good condition. Great customer service. I also had to return some clothing once as it didn’t fit and they were happy to refund me. They also have a range of furniture on the ground and first floor.

The man at Ecco Bishop’s Stortford is the most unpleasant person we have ever come across (surely cannot be the manager as he has no people and communication skills). He always looks totally bored and annoyed at being there, is condescending and way too busy looking at his phone to look up at you when you are actually taking time out of your busy day to donate quality goods and has clearly never heard of the basic word ‘thank you’! I would avoid donating here - instead take your donations to the lovely welcoming people at Oxfam and British Heart Foundation, where they really appreciate charity. Suggest the man at Ecco is better suited to working remotely!

Just here to throw in my tuppence worth on the excellent Ecco shop. The two insulting one-star reviews from early 2023 are from local charity shop regulars who also happen to be shameless submoronic chisellers who believe they're entitled to abuse hardworking underpaid employees who work wonders in this spacious, welcoming and well-stocked shop.

Some real treasures in here. Especially high quality vintage furniture, which you can get SUPER cheap. Staff is super friendly and sweet too. In a town full of really good thrift shops, this is easily the best <3

If you like recycling and doing up furniture or finding something different. This second hand place is a true aladins cave. I've bought some real bargains from here . Unique wonderful little finds. The manager in stortford George is very kind accommodating helen . The manager in harlow dean goes the extra mile to. I had an elderly friend who had cancer . Dean helped get him a comfortable bed and some decent furniture for his bedroom and waved the delivery charge .my friend fought a good fight against the cancer that killed him . But he had a comfortable bright functional room thanks to ecco and Dean . Xxx☺😊😀
