Great to experience the diversity of country life and catch up with friends. Lots of stalls with displays showing local skills. For me the farm machinery is fantastic. For children there is are play area's and to see farm animals up close.

The signs for parking could have been a little bit better, we seemed to drive around for ages looking for public parking and it was a long walk to get to the show as we were shown to a parking space at the bottom of the hill although people arriving later were parked right by the entrance.
The food was very expensive, £3 for a small portion of dried chips and an extra 50p for a sprinkle of cheese. I advise getting there really early as it got a bit crowded in the afternoon and could be difficult to get to see the displays. Lot's of hawkers wanting you to sign up to their charity. Even when you politely said "no thank you" they would begin their spiel trying to guilt you into parting with your money. The exhibits were interesting such as all the different breeds of sheep and cows and a good selection of handmade items at all prices
We didn't see much in the main ring, we sat in the stands waiting for the "bike display" which was 2 men doing wheelies on their mountain bikes
The puppet show was free and enjoyable though and there were a few rides for the children and things such as hook a duck and a coconut shy

Brilliant Show, we go every year. Definatly a great time for all the family no matter what age. Plenty of shows to watch, lots of things to do and a wide choice of foods and drinks. Would highly recommend

Enjoyed very much. We love the dog friendly atmosphere. Great show animals and crafts stalls even if you don't buy it always gives me ideas for my own crafting.

Went today for the first time in 13 years to support after covid but never rated it as a show. Disorganised as ever with long queues at entrance and unexceptional and poorly executed schedule. May be back in 13 years!

This is a really nice annual event, held on the first Saturday in August each year. Lots of competitions, displays, stalls rides etc. My only criticism is that the food stalls tend to be quite pricey.

Brilliant show lots to see and do. Sturdy footwear or wellies a must if had rain few days before.
