We contacted Emmaus about donating a matching child's wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table via email. We sent them photos, agreed a day for it to be collected but due to the weather this was delayed by a week and a half to today. They arrived this afternoon and told me they needed check the items are suitable, which was odd as they had already confirmed they wanted the furniture. They walked into our house and got mud all over the carpet which I pointed out. He half apologized but said they are unable to take their shoes off. When I asked them if they could wipe their feet, they said they were no longer interested in taking the items and drove off! Absolutely amazed at their terrible attitude. Have arranged for an another appreciative charity to collect the items instead.

I had a 4 ft bed with mattress.. they took the bed but not the mattress as they said it had a small stain and that made it not saleable.. I offered to try to remove it but they said no can’t take it!! Now I’m sure it would do somebody a good turn and you try finding a 4 ft mattress to fit. It’s called CHARITY for a reason 😡

I know it's a charity, and they help the local people. But please, the high prices of some of their furniture. They are either losing touch or taking the micky. Who does your pricing? Harrods !

When I bought the furniture, the staff promised to deliver it upstairs, and today just delivered it to the door of the ground floor, and asked pay extra money to carry it upstairs. Returns are available but only for credit.
