Sounds like people in need can afford to be picky, wanted our single bed that converts into a double bed to go to a good home and they refused to take it away. This was due to a small bit of staining on one of the matresses (pictured). Other mattress is spotless and frame is very good quality. That's Harrogate for you...

I purchased a king size divan bed ten months ago from Essentials Needs which was faulty from the outset due to the two divan bases not being of good quality as they persistently separated apart due to the clips and the general poor manufacture of the product. I contacted the manager on a couple of occasions and only once were they prepared to call in to fix the bed. The problems still persisted and then after contacting the manager to report this issue again He refused to allocate the repair team to attend to fix and remarked that they couldn’t keep calling in to resolve this issue and there was no offer of a replacement, only a refusal to attend and as a contingency measure I contacted the supplier directly and never received a response. Not impressed at all with the service, but I suspect that my purchase and subsequent issues were a fluke/freak of nature!

What a lovely place for people on a limited budget. No judgement. Went today and managed to get a much needed (great) wardrobe. Staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful, which was very much appreciated. Highly recommend!!!

I think the store is quite good with a good selection of furniture however I think it is a little small and poorly located. As it is aimed at people on a low income it’s a shame it’s so far out of the way. Regardless, the staff are friendly and helpful and the choice is good.
