I really cannot believe the outstanding service from this company. My son is 3 and is on the pathway to a diagnosis for autism. He shows severe signs that he is autistic. Someone had told me about the family fund and just by chance I tried to see if I was eligible. Once the company had done the required checks they approved me in a matter of days. Someone called David called me up, he was absolutely lovely and so understanding. And a few days after that I received my card and leaflets in the post. I just cannot believe the outstanding communication and service from this company. I just signed up for the lottery with them too! Would definitely recommend and cannot thank you guys enough.
I have nothing but kind words to say about you all!
Thank you again 🫶

This charity was recommended to me by another parent and who told me about how much Family Fund had helped her pay for costs of appliances etc. I applied and they have worked so quickly to grant my application and provide my daughter with the items she needs with no intrusive questions, obligations or payment. Theyre a really good charity, and I think are underestimated how much they help families with children who have SEN.

I have nothing but praise and thanks for family fund, they have been caring empathetic and a genuine resource to my family and especially Zac our son who is autistic. The staff are a credit to the company, my latest experience is with a lady called Sheila, if only more people employed in customer facing roles had some of her qualities everyone would be a lot happier! It must be noted however in relation to some of the negative comments posted here this is a charity not a cash point, they try to help as many people as possible and they do! They are not obliged to grant every request they receive! They help when they can, show some gratitude please and let’s thank them for the difficult job they do! Treat others as you would like to be treated and you will be just fine!

Yes they’re a charity that give desperate families with disabled children cash - which is a massive help however, I don’t feel the provider ‘family fund’ is efficient. Lengthy waiting times when people are in crisis - this is prolonged by the assessor who comes out to the applicants home and basically looks at medical reports or health care plan and makes a few notes - Instead of asking for this information at the application stage. This would be more cost effective. They also use partners so if you get a clothing grant you get voucher the shops included are very expensive or shops that no longer exist or sell children’s clothes. They also give a Euronics or Argos card with a certain amount of cash on for household appliances, great if the family gets an Argos card as they can use the entirety of the amount to buy what they applied for and use what’s left on other family things. However Eugenics is very expensive in comparison and doesn’t give the same option of using anything left over. There are huge inconsistencies in they way they allocate funds. I think they should be working to get the best deals for families- there are more effective ways of doing this. Good cause very poor provider.

We have been incredibly lucky and well treated by the family fund. Washing machine, dishwasher, laptop and this year a holiday.
They have given us an extension on the inspire card as my surname has been spelt wrong ( my fault)
Ff not great at responding to emails but they are over worked and understaffed like many charity organisations. I hope to fund raise for them in the future, to give back some of the support.
THANK YOU

Family Fund does not support children with severe verbal dyspraxia. 73% of parents struggle to get help for their children with speech problems, it has been said in a UK parliamentary debate. It is horrifying that this charity refuses to help these youngsters with this debilitating disability, which affects their speaking ability.

Last year we applied and were helped with a holiday card. We were very grateful and I wrote to say thank you as well as submitting more paperwork (diagnosis, ehcp) to assist them with this years application. This year they took 8 weeks to tell me they had not received extra paperwork they needed and we needed to submit the whole thing again. I made a complaint over a week ago but as of yet no one has even acknowledged it and the message person on facebook just (unhelpfully) tells me he can't access the case! What a joke! After reading afew reviews on facebook it seems like losing the paperwork has happened to afew people not just me. What a shame. The irony is that I did it online to cut back on the paperwork I had to submit and hopefully get a quicker decision.
I am very unhappy about the way Family Fund have treated us. I thought a charity helping disabled kids would be sympathetic to the struggles of parents/carers and all the bureaucracy they already have to deal with without adding to the stressful load.
