I found out about this charity through work. As a single parent this has made a huge difference to mines and especially my 2 children's lives. We’ve just been accepted for the grant and I cannot say how grateful I am. The grant is going to enable my son have a comfortable bedroom, his uniform sorted and some white goods that were desperately needed. The application process was easy and took about two months to complete. After a really hard few years, the grant taken away some of the stress I had wondering were I was going find the funds for the things that were needed. I would say, you have nothing to loose with applying..just go for it! I’ve never ever applied to a charity before and I wasn’t made to feel any embarrassment asking for help. Again, a big thank you to Anna and the whole team🙏🏽

I had no idea that this charity existed until I was informed by one of my work colleagues as she knew I was going through a really rough time after a relationship breakdown. Having to start a home again from scratch has proved to be a really difficult time for me financially and I can’t thank this charity enough. The money I have been awarded will enable my son to enjoy his own bedroom instead of sharing my room with me.
The whole process from start to finish has been so easy and I have been kept informed by email or phone call from the lovely Anna every step of the way so from submitting my application to getting my award it’s taken about 3 weeks which is excellent.
I’m so pleased with the service I’ve received and will be telling everyone I know that they don’t have to struggle alone and to apply!

I work in a supermarket & I am a dad to my 2 lads with additional needs. My youngest lad has hydrocephalus & needs a specialist car seat. I was told about the FTCT & made my enquiry hoping to get some help towards the car seat which is £500+ that we just don't have spare.

I had put off sending off my application as I was worried about going over our finances thinking there would be lots of questions about spending but I finally reached out by phone & spoke to Anna & she made us feel completely comfortable with the process & made it as simple as possible to do. I wish I had done it sooner.

The charity made great efforts to understand the needs of the whole family & our situation in order to make the grant stretch as far as possible. Not only have I secured the car seat but also a new bed for my oldest sensory toys & clothing for both. I can't thank them enough for this. What makes it even better was how quick the small team worked to move from application to awarding the grant, about 4 days in all. Remarkable!

I just want to thank Anna & the team once again, the dedication they have for what they do is easy to see, as evidenced by answering emails well past office hours.

I can not find the right words to thank this charity for approving the grant for me and my son. It would be one of the greatest thing somebody did for us when we feel like we have touched rock bottom. It was my first time applying for a grant or asking for any financial help and I did feel bed for being obliged to do so but Anna the lady responsible for my application was so nice, gentle and understandable making me feel comfortable enough to talk about my situation.
Feels like a dream really , they approved a grant for me to help me buy new washing machine,fridge,stroller even clothes and footwear for my baby. Really..thanks a lot for being there. Thank you Anna and the team f FTCT. Tonight I don't feel alone! And that matters a lot!

I cannot thank you all enough for my grant. After being furloughed for 18 months and now on short time at 75% of my wage it has been really tough on my family. The grant enabled me to buy my daughter a new coat, winter boots and shoes and money towards her school books. I can not describe how relieved I was when the charity agreed to help us out. I’ve never ever applied for a grant or help but, the team were so friendly and helpful it wasn’t embarrassing at all - just a relief. Thanks to Hazel, Jill and the team at FTCT - you do an amazing job
