One thing about Cornwall are all the little fishing villages - now mainly tailored around the tourism trade and during the winters can be bleak and uninviting - but some can be forgotten and you forget how pretty they are - Portscatho is one of those places - remembering to visit there after our costal walk from last year - we popped back to this little village at Christmas and although the village was quiet you still felt the embrace for the local trade there and the excitement for the new year fireworks. a trend it would seem for these little Cornish villages to have adopted. It's a lovely little village and well worth a visit

Not an attraction you would go to Portscatho for, you can see everything through the windows. The village is typically quaint with narrow streets and kept very clean. A few shops and a few pubs to choose from. Lots of on street parking on the Lugger and in the Square. Beware going down the ramp beside the hut, it is steep and can be slimy, there is a footpath down just a little further along the road.
