Words do not do enough to describe the Centre. The care, dedication, patience, kindness and understanding displayed by the volunteers and staff is utterly humbling.
I visited to see my Father today, a Thursday, as it was his birthday. He was there on a bi-weekly visit with other people with Alzheimer's. He had no idea who I was (his son of a few decades) which is always heartbreaking, but to see him up dancing and socializing with people is heartwarming. He is 87 today, and there was a flicker of his old self after he blew out the birthday cake he was provided with. He shed tears, and I shed tears as he hugged me and said "It's free to see you son ."
I was comforted by several staff during my visit and learned first hand how much they care.
Thank you all for what you do. Your hearts are I hope, swollen with pride for what you do.

Neil 🙂

A place offering support and activities for people living with dementia, having previously been on an outing to the seaside with this group i found them to be an important asset to the community.

Booked my Daughter's 6th birthday party here for today (8/2/20) Get there to find the hall laid out with tables and chairs. There was a man and woman in the kitchen who rudely asked us "what we wanted" Upon stating we had booked the hall from 1.30-4, she again rudely replyed with "I don't think so, we have this hall all afternoon"
When we replyed we had approximately 30 kids due to arrive she replyed "not my problem"

Apon booking this hall, the woman who answered the phone was very hard work, like she didnt know what she was doing. We have since heard that this isn't the first time there has been a double booking or an "missing booking" Also she stated bouncy castles was allowed, only for ours to leave before we got there after being told they wasn't allowed.

If your thinking of booking here for a party - DONT BOTHER. POOR ORGANISATION, NO RESPECT FOR ANYONE.

One star rating is too much !

Have used this venue for many years with work related activities and celebrations. Sadly will probably not be able to in the future because of changes with work, but it is a very receiving venue. I hope it will remain always present in the life of the local community.

thanks for upsetting over 30 children after being turned away from a party that had been booked there for awhile!
We also were told no bouncy castles despite me stating there was to be one, we were all stood in the cold with a very upset little girl and her friends. Thanks to all the parents who rallied round and found somewhere at short notice
