Agree with what they are trying to achieve, but when you are on the other side of the fence of where they are planting trees and you already have small tree along that plant line, they just disregard this and then lie. This is what I put:

Good morning,

Thanks for sending over the correct plan. Looking at the map, we already have 30 Poplar trees planted along the purple area along our boundary and planting another 125 trees would hinder the growth of those trees significantly and make it a very dense ‘wall’.
Looking at your website and what you are trying to achieve, we have actually assisted you in your aim and would ask you do not plant that area in your proposal as we are fully supportive with what you are trying to achieve and believe we have personally supported you key objectives already.
Anything else you need to support our request, please let us know. Thanks.

They then responded with:

Thankyou for getting back to us. I appreciate your comments and they will be taken into consideration for the Environmental Impact Assessment.
May I add that the 125x trees are whips, meaning they are roughly 30cm tall. I have attached an example picture. This is just incase you were picturing mature trees being planted that may hinder your poplars.

'If this doesn't change your mind we can either get rid of the planting area or thin the density of the planting.'

I then heard nothing from them and chased them.

I then put:

In that purple area we would request that you do not plant any trees, but do not object to any of the other areas you have proposed.

I then heard nothing back, so chased:

Just following up from my email a few weeks ago and agreement that you will not be planting in the purple area. Can I ask that you confirm this? Thanks in advance.

They then responded:

Unfortunately we cannot confirm this, however your comments have been sent off as apart of the Environmental Impact Assessment to Forestry Commission, there the Woodland Officer will review the plan and tell us what is allowed to go ahead or not.

My comment and summary is that they stated:

'If this doesn't change your mind we can either get rid of the planting area or thin the density of the planting.'

I asked for the area I am talking about to be removed and they clearly stated 'We can get rid of the planting area'

Then they come back with ‘ Unfortunately we cannot confirm this’..........but you did!, you said ‘We can get rid of the planting area’. An out and out lie!! They are now putting a fence up and assume planting in that area between our fence and theirs in direct infringement or our trees! (Our trees are on the right with their planting area to the left in the picture) An absolute disgrace and disregard to anyone else!!

Environmental education centre, with some great environmental art, they run good courses. The landscaping is getting established and they continue to develop facilities.
