Great site full of historical information. The paths are well kept, and you can walk in the Abbey ruins. We only walked around the Abbey, but there is a great walk around the whole site. There is a lot to see, and pets are welcome. There is a child play area cafe and toilet facilities dotted around. A beautiful river running though we will be going back in the warmer weather. Parking facilities are very good well marked and plenty of spaces. A national trust place, so if you have a membership, it really gives you value for money. Staff throughout were polite, helpful, and friendly. It's definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely gorgeous abbey with the added bonus of the Studley royal water gardens attached.

There was a small queue to get in and I’ve got no doubt that this place can get very busy on a nicer weekend so would recommend getting here early both to avoid delays and to make the most of your visit.

This is the longest I’ve spent at a national trust park (3hours) and all I did was a loop of the main attractions (abbey, water gardens and mill). There was much more to see and I’ll have to come back when the suns out.

I agree with others that the price without a membership is steep but I like to think of this as two for the price of one with the adjacent Studley royal.

This is a heritage site and a lot more, historically, this site is a must and I'm glad I had my walking boots on because the site is very varied with beautiful walks , hillside and fantastic views.
The Fountains Abbey it's self is stunning and very well looked after and at this time of year they light up the Abbey, there are lots of people arriving late in the afternoon just to take photos of this beautiful structure being colorful lite up. This is definitely one place that I'd love to go back and revist someday soon.

A huge expanse to walk around. The whole of the ruined Abbey is open to walk around. There were a few Grandparents looking after grandchildren that were definitely aging as there are plenty of places where small children can drop off ruins into the stream.
Over the years they have increased the number of cafes so you are never far from coffee and cake.

Amazing playground
Beautiful walks
Stunning scenery
Lots of history to learn about .

We brought two kids aged 10 and 13 and two adults and we all had a great time exploring together.
Stopped for hot drinks that were nice enough and in the usual priced bracket for this type of place.
The shop was well supplied and the toilets were large enough to suit the number if visitors and clean .

Ample parking and over flow parking .
The footpaths are wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
Dogs are welcomed but on leads

Unbelievable, stunning, just about the most beautiful abbey I have visited and this is not the first time. Easy to find, easy to navigate, lots of parking and a well run entry experience, shop, cafe, toilets, the photos do not do this justice, a great walk and visually stimulating on every level 😁👍National Trust

The place is huge and very well preserved. So far, this is the largest and best preserved abbey I have seen. The place is dog friendly with lots of walks. You can spend here most of the day.
