I have to have Chemotherapy every Monday at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, and my first was 2nd September’ 24. Upon arriving somewhat anxious, I was met by 2 very pleasant ladies who immediately put me at ease. They were so cheerful I actually forgot what I was there for. The nurses at the unit were so friendly and helpful. I was given a lovely scarf as a gift and also a very welcome pack containing very useful items. Not only that as you enter for your treatment these very lovely volunteers come round to offer Tea.. Coffee.. Juice… biscuits etc. nothing is too much bother for any of the staff. What could have been a very daunting first experience turned out so different. I will be attending for 2 yrs and look forward to seeing my little family each week. Worth their weight in gold.
