I adopted a beautiful little poodle, Susan, in June this year, she has cataracts and is virtually blind, I was offered surgery to restore her sight, but the cost was just too much, I could afford about half of what I was quoted, so in desperation started a gofund.me page, lovely people donated but then it just dried up.
A lovely friend on the isle of Wight said try Friends of the Animals," they are wonderful, I'm sure they'll help you". I thought no they won't, I work full time, people who work don't tend to get help.
I left it, then I thought, you know what have I got to lose.
I contacted them, such lovely friendly people, put me at ease straight away, I explained the situation and the lovely lady said," we will help you." I was totally blown away.
So far this lady who doesn't want to be mentioned but I just have to, Helen Sinclair, she is amazing. Helen and her team have been in touch with the eye specialist and got the price lowered, I thought, wow, thats brilliant, but she didn't stop there. Helen has started fund raising on behalf of little Susan, her supporters are so generous, I was actually in tears when she told me the amount she has so far, these wonderful people are awesome, I and little Susan are so so grateful.
With the help of this brilliant charity I'm sure Susan will get her sight back.
Thank you soooo much Helen and your lovely team and incredibly generous supporters.
Friends of the Animals will always be in my heart 💖

One massive thank you to Friends of the Animals for their incredible compassion and generosity in helping Digger. This little 14 year old chap recently came to live with me having been kept in a crate for upwards of 22 hours a day, and it quickly became evident that his teeth were in a terrible condition. After getting him checked over at the vets, it was confirmed that Digger had severe dental disease and needed several teeth extracting at an estimated cost of £1,000. I was very fortunate to come across Friends of the Animals whilst trying to work out how to pay for the Dental procedure, and have been absolutely blown away by how incredible a charity they are. Helen (no. 2) quickly replied to my message, saying that they really wanted to help Digger and because of this amazing act of kindness he had his dental procedure yesterday. Digger now has 2 teeth left as the rest needed to be extracted due to the severity of disease. I cannot imagine the discomfort he must have been in, and now thanks to the generosity of Friends of the Animals he has a life of comfort ahead of him. One heartfelt thank you from both Digger & myself!

A friend contacted this charity when I unexpectedly had to have our pony of 15yrs pts, by the time Helen contacted me I also had another vet bill for the other pony.
Unexpected expenses at the worst time possible.
I had idea they could help financially and was so grateful that they offered to help towards the bill.
Nothing prepares you for loosing an animal, we all know it will come but is so heartbreaking.
Helens kindness and compassion has helped ease the whole situation.
Friends of the Animals is a truly amazing charity.
Causing chaos over the rainbow bridge now dear Greta 💔

Friends of the Animals has helped me hugely. Helen's in depth knowledge and understanding of my dogs needs when he had injured his cruciate ligament was fantastic. She was able to give me specific advice on how best to care for my dog pre and post op. Friends of the Animals kindly helped towards the costs of the operations, but not only that was able to recommend an excellent vet who has vast experience in treating dogs with injuries such as mine. This recommendation also saved us hundreds of pounds compared to our usual vet. I can't thank and recommend Helen and the team enough for the support and kindness.

The most amazing group of people, working so hard to help as many in need as they are able! They are very kindly giving us so much support with covering our veterinary fees for our guinea pig rescue, something they offered to us and its making a massive difference to our work and impacting how many piggies in need we are able to help!
They are all so down to earth and all have huge hearts, they genuinely care for all animals and their owners, pro neuter, you can always get help and financial support to get your pet neutered, never be afraid to approach friends of the animals and ask for help should you be in need in any way.
Thank you Helen and all the staff for all you do for us and all the animals in need out there.

I approached friends of the animals, after my 4 month old pup, Flynn, had an accident & needed X-rays. They were very understanding of my situation, they offered to help with the costings which I was blown away by their generosity. Additionally, I could volunteer in their shop to help with extra funding, which I have been doing. Flynn, is now slowly recovering with the help of hydrotherapy too. The volunteers at the shop are so welcoming, friendly & chatty, they’ve made me feel so welcome. So much so that I’ve decided to continue my volunteering after the vets bill has been settled. I can’t thank FoTA enough for not only helping in my time of need but also helping me push myself out my anxiety by being at the shop. Thank you all so much
I’ve attached a photo of myself & Flynn ❤️

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Friends of the Animals for their exceptional support. My husband and I were approached by a friend who asked if we could provide emergency foster care for a lovely dog that had been abandoned in the dark, with her owners nowhere to be found. Without hesitation, we offered our assistance.

It was evident that the dog had been severely neglected by her previous owners, and her condition was dire. Despite our efforts to persuade her owners to seek veterinary care, they remained unwilling to do so. Consequently, we made the decision to have her surrendered to us and promptly took her to the vets.

The dog required a series of treatments, including neutering and vaccinations. While we were determined to help this poor dog, the financial burden of the complete veterinary bill was beyond our means. In desperation, I contacted Friends of the Animals and explained our situation to Helen. Helen's response was nothing short of remarkable. She informed us that Friends of the Animals would be able to provide assistance with the veterinary expenses. We are profoundly grateful for their intervention, as it undoubtedly saved the dog's life.

The dog underwent surgery to address her dental issues and was also spayed. During the procedure, a large cyst was discovered. Without this critical operation, her life would have been in grave danger.

Throughout the entire process, Friends of the Animals remained in constant communication with us, and their support was unwavering. We are truly indebted to them for their exceptional compassion and dedication to animal welfare. Words cannot adequately express our gratitude for the life-saving contribution provided for this deserving dog.
