Amazing place. You can go inside the lookout station when it is manned. If you arrive at low water, you may see seals on the rocks nearby.

Always happy to do a NCI watch at this station. Fantastic place to work in all weather conditions, and the views are fantastic at anytime of the year, and constantly changing.
Always glad to see visiting walkers on the coast path, and check out our visitor center for the site history as it was a WW2 Gun Emplacement.

Beautiful walks and stunning scenery and then you come to the historical battery. Also the volunteer coastguard station is very friendly and explained to my sons how the radar worked and then let them have ago..
A short walk from brownstone carpark and your there... Well worth a visit.

Very friendly staff who welcomed us into the watchtower and were happy to explain what they do. Incredible views and a good place to rest some weary bones from the very up and down coastal path. The volunteers shared local wisdom and offered a few shortcuts to avoid some of the hardest sections of the coastal path. We headed off in good spirits and a spring on our step as we headed further up the coast to Coleton Fishacre. We had a great walk from Kingswear and spent the whole day enjoying wonderful views and blowing plenty of cobwebs away. Highly recommend.

You can go inside and find out what the volunteers do for the Search and Rescue Services, of which they are a full part. Friendly, welcoming volunteers can tell you not only about Coastwatch, but also about the local history of the Brownstone Battery

Dogs are welcome. There is (almost) always a dog bowl outside.

The only time you can't go inside is when there is an incident they are involved in. That's wholly sensible!

It makes a great focal point for a Coast Path walk.

With advance notice they can help less ambulant folk visit, though steps make it impossible for wheelchair users unless they have their own enablers who can handle the steps, but the volunteers will come out and talk outside if they are not too busy
