Good staff, small and cozy library. Good printing prices, quiet upstairs, good electronical related books, sometimes they sell DVDs. Its a good library and im proud its apart of our town

Visited for a local author talk. I am registered but I've never actually been in (shameful, but I will be in future and bringing the kids on a Saturday for the lego session!) The staff were friendly and the building is beautiful. Looked like a great selection of books, and dvds available to rent too.

A fabulous library which is really providing an excellent community service. It is heartwarming to see young people feel very welcome and it is buzzing with life and new ideas to attract children to reading. A friendly and welcoming place with incredibly brilliant opening hours.

I used the reference section as a workplace on and off for the four years of study in my degree.
For its size it is a valuable resource for the community.
Those complaining of the noise level do have a point if comparing with libraries of old however it is much quieter than Scunthorpe's.

A library is meant to be a place where you can read and sit in peace and quiet, but not at this library, all your hear are chavs on their phones all the time, Turn your phone off before going into this library or any other,if you need to talk,lower your voice.
I would have given this library an excellent score, the staff are good,but they do not do much when it comes to people always talking on their phones and talking loudly.
Also ive hired many dvd"s from here, 1 in 4 dont play properly, on the screens when you return them,there should be a section that says was everything okay with this disc, the staff at gainsborough have no way of checking these discs, selection of books is excellent for a small library, the staff are knowledgeable and extremely helpful, but please people,if your going into a library...........have respect for those who use it too!!

This place has limited opening hours currently 10:00am to 2:00pm Tuesday to Friday.

It is a shame they are closed on Monday. They do have a printing service, 10 pence a B/W, 20 pence Colour. Only for web based documents. No photocopying at the moment. Plus you need to make an appointment for a half hour session on a computer and the staff take care of the printing. The situation in Gainsborough is terrible re Photocopying, non existent.

If you want to spend a lot of money, go to Linc IT and they will gladly rip you off.

Really useful resource, very helpful attentive staff and lots to do for young families, reading groups activity days etc
