As someone recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis the help I've received from this organisation has been invaluable. In particular, I'd like to mention the member of staff, Kevin, who has been working with me to sort out so much of the confusing, borderline obfuscatory form filling required to register as a disabled adult in the UK.

Bar nothing though, more than the work he's done the attitude and treatment I've received has been so much more hospitable and genial than anything I've had from any other organisation that I've had to interact with regarding my MS. Being spoken and listened to and basically treated like a human being rather than a number or a checklist is unfortunately quite rare, and that recognition and willingness to listen has been incredible.

The entire process alone, especially as someone with ADHD, would have been a confusing disaster as the form tallies in at ~100 pages. I cannot recommend the GDA nor the people who work there enough.

Don't return calls don't call back when they say they will offices shut even though website says open very poor service, I support people with mental health problems and they don't care they just mess them about!!!

I have been a member for about 5 years and have had nothing but good experience's with GDA. At this time (covid19) they are a great source of contact and are always at the end of the phone for a chat if needed.

I contacted GDA 2 weeks ago as I needed help with claiming a certain benefit, and today 16/2/2022 I won my case, the guy had 1 week to compose an appeal letter, he won my appeal single-handedly, I had a welfare rights guy before I contacted GDA but he let me down badly, Kevin if you see this review......thank you from the bottom of my heart.
