We had a surprise 50th birthday party here for my partner. The venue is large, plenty of tables and chairs, we were allowed to decorate it with banners, balloons etc. and move furniture around to suit our needs. Amy, the lady who dealt with my booking, could not have been more helpful. The weeks leading up to the event, she answered all of my questions and was absolutely lovely to deal with, she did everything possible to help everything go smoothly. All staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Great setting for a celebration! When I asked what time I could come to clean up the next day, Amy told me not to do it as it was all included in the hire price! Thank you. Would definitely use again.

We went to the Northern Soul and Motown night last night. Great music and plenty of room to dance. The staff were brilliant and we look forward to the next event. Well done to the dj's and event organisers.

Needs a good deep clean, it's not a bad venue but tired and a bit grubby round the edges, dark and dingy on entrance hall to function room.

Staff are OK. We went to a kids party on a Sunday after a wedding had been held Sat there was fragment of broken glass in hall and outside. Not good when kids had an indoor bouncy castle and bare feet.

I'm not one to usually leave such a bad review but this is not acceptable. Booked the lounge for a wake about 2 weeks ago to turn up on the day of the booking for it to be closed and the cleaner then say there is nothing booked for today. I assured them I had a receipt and paid £100 deposit aswell as the £50 room hire charge. The cleaner/bar staff them proceeded to call the manger who very nastily said that somthing doesn't add up from what I was saying. After multiple times of saying I definitely booked for today and have evidence she aggred to open the bar and make her way to the social club. As soon as she seen me she recognised who I was and said oh someone hasnt checked the diary. I'm sorry but this isnt good enough. Its not what your exactly wanting when you have just been to a funeral. Watkins had tried to deliver earlier that day but obviously it was closed at the time so we nearly missed out on our buffet too. I luckily called Watkins to explain the situation and they returned within 10 minutes. One other thing is sort your disgusting glasses out they are vile and all the guests decided to drink from the bottles instead because of how filthy they were. Was booked till 4pm everyone had left by 2pm out of embarrassment. .. also your Regulars still don't have rights to vape inside the bar. 0* if I could

My star is for the paint on the walls My Son and Daughter in law sadly had their wedding reception here .Oh my days I went up to get a drink being served by a young blonde girl she asked the other with brown hair how much to charge and it had gone up by 50p when I questioned why she told me she was in charge I was not allowed to have another 🙃 id only had 1 before hand she was refusing me any service and literally threw my change across the bar at me .This womans behaviour at a public event should not of taken place and she should be totally ashamed of her treatment not only towards a wedding guest but I am also the Grooms Mother. Would I recommend this place No! I most certainly would not x
