Really like the way the goodwill is organized. There is a section for more expensive items for people who can afford thrift stores for fashion choices.
While there is the general area where people who need the lower-priced items can afford them. The system here is a feasible solution we see where thrift stores that usually serve people in need of lower-priced items are no longer able to afford thrifting because the clothes are marked up due to the demand on thrifting and the rise in thrifting as a fashion choice. Good system!

One of my favorite shops in NYC. Has hidden gems.
Update*
Still one of my favorite thrift shops in NYC but the prices have gotten out of control for some items. Like I don't care if it was a higher priced ticket item originally if it's obviously really worn out and has pills on the fabric. Even the shoes are over priced now. It's like they are trying to compete with the online resale market but don't actually monitor the going rates to be able to realize that they are over pricing items. There's still some gems but you have to work more to find them and then hope that it is actually in your size (they color coordinate everything but not by size) and hope it is reasonably priced.

would give 0 stars if i could. “security guard” at the door was EXTREMELY rude for literally no reason.

there were people in the store still shopping, i made it before the closing time. this man refused to let me into the store & even had an exchange with me putting his finger in my face.

i said “there’s people in the store” , he continued to be rude. don’t waste your time visiting this location.

i’ll be following through with their management to ensure there’s a solution, because there is no need to be rude to people at a THRIFT STORE.

I have been to many Goodwills in NY, NJ, and PA, unfortunately this one is a miss. For being in a prime NYC location, the selection of women's clothes is mediocre. I expected to find a few brand names not Shein. The men's section is a 6 foot wall of dreary button ups you can get brand new for a few dollars more. If you skip this location you aren't missing anything. I would have given this location 3-stars because it is organized and "somewhat" color coded, BUT I have a suggestion for their employee Aileen, hence 2-Stars are given... Aileen, I understand it is hard to live and work in NYC where the hustle and bustle can overwhelm even the mightiest of human beings, but I am certain a class in Customer Service is in order. For clarification when the fitting room is closed, you should tell the customers that have already been waiting in line, "Hi, the fitting room is closed" not look at the customers and gester a "cut-off", or "you're done" movement with your hand at your neck, and when they speak to you, you should respond. I hope this helps you get a better employee to customer experience. (For the record, this is something I witnessed while waiting on the line, and when someone said to her politely that they had been waiting for a while, she did not bother to respond to them.)

Decent selection. However there are no fitting rooms (I even asked if there was a way to try clothes on other than just over my clothes and was told no) and all sales are final, which is frustrating.

Cleaner than other Goodwill's I've been to. Prices are fair. No fitting room. Some staff are really friendly some are rude.

We asked a staff member where the carts were and he even went and got one for us, which was very kind, another would budge past us without saying excuse me to rerack items. I understand the staff need to work but there is no need to be rude.

The worst Goodwill store I’ve ever been to in my entire life!

- Prices are sky-high. They compete with Buffalo Exchange or Beacon’s Closet. All you’ll get for $7.99 is either a Target or Walmart brand clothes.

- They sell stained and defective clothes all the time. You don’t notice it in the store but when you get home and see the stains, holes, or defects, you cannot wear those clothes anymore. So, they go to the garbage!

- Employees are extremely horrible, especially the short security guard, the old and tall lady, and the short lady with short hair. The tall woman employee keeps whining all the time. One time, an older customer put a few pieces of clothes on the glass cabinet. This lady asked him to take them and the customer didn’t understand what she said. She scoffed at him and walked away. A minute later, she was gossiping about the customer to another employee. Yikes!!

- Another short-haired woman employee keeps frowning all the time and gives you a weird look for some reason, especially towards closing time.

- The store closes at 7.00 PM and you find yourself kicked out at 6.45 PM sharp. They walk behind you until you leave the store. I understand that you hate your job and life, but this doesn’t mean that the customers should hate you too! Wait until customers finish their shopping. If you close the store at 7.00 PM and leave at 7.05 PM, nothing happens. Believe me! The employees of this location definitely need some customer service training or something.

I wish the management shut this location down instead of the other locations. They have no benefit to customers whatsoever! At least rotate the employees, so customers like us would have a better shopping experience. At least it would be worth paying all that amount for used stained and defective clothes!
