Booked in for Valentine’s Day! Was given cosy table, perfect for out date night, the decor was lovely really appreciated the atmosphere! Starters were delish, and the mains incredible. I had the brill orzo with chorizo and it was just absolutely divine 🫶🏻 the staff very attentive and lovely!! Would definitely recommend!!!!!!!! For three courses the price was spectacular Xx

Travelled from Los Angeles to join local West Sussex friends for a long country walk culminating here for Sunday Roast. Lovely pork for me, friends had beef, beef & pork combo, (gigantic chicken at other tables), generous portions of family style perfectly cooked vegetables e.g, carrots, potatoes, rutabagas, cauliflower in cheese sauce, greens. Nice wine list. I had a sticky toffee pudding dessert. Wonderful service. Very popular, every table was full but they were able to adeptly take drink orders, entree orders, dessert orders and everything came out promptly. Staff even helped us park. Waitress notified me my pork doesn’t come with Yorkshire pudding like other entrees but added it for me. Loved this place, warm family feeling and yes, discovered it is family owned and operated. Not to be missed if you’re in the area.Wish Green Man was in LA!

We had a ladies lunch here today. We had heard some good reviews so thought to try it out as we are all fairly local. We normally go to another lovely pub nearby.
Food was very delicious , although a little small in portion. Nice choice on the menu.
Unfortunately the 2 lady waitresses are very unfriendly! No smile or chatter. Just very mechanical. Such a shame as it ruined our experience there. It really doesn’t hurt to smile and make people feel welcome. Also no WiFi and no alternative milks. Sorry for those who are intolerant! You can’t have a hot drink !
We decided not to pay the service on this occasion.
We definitely won’t be going back.

Lovely location with good food. I had been wanting to come here for years having seen their fish based menu from afar and finally made the effort to visit from the US! The scallops were well cooked and the waitress was very kind and attentive, I would definitely recommend this place if you want something a bit elevated from your usual gastropub.

Second visit to The Green Man, first was many years ago, and it was as good as I remembered.
Staff were very attentive, and looked after our table of 4 very well (even sharing one of their secret recipes).
Everything we had to eat was delicious, and we all left nicely satisfied.
Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
