I've donated a few bits to this charity. Dropped a few boxes of little things myself and they collected bulky furniture from my house.

We found out about Green Pastures about 8 years ago when attending a conference. We were waiting for a taxi outside the station and shared one with a member of the staff of Green Pastures. We invested without taking interest because we know the money is there and if we really needed it we could withdraw it but as we haven't we're happy to leave it there to help others.

The whole experience is like being a part of the family. Before the pandemic we visited Green Pastures and were made so welcome.

Lifeline partnered with Green Pastures in 2012 and since then Green Pastures have bought four residential three bedroom houses for Lifeline so that we can house people who wish to move out from hostel style accommodation into a more permanent dwelling with a view to eventually moving out into fully independent living as Lifeline supports them.

The biggest compliment we can give Green Pastures is that all of these houses feel like they are Lifeline's even though they are owned by Green Pastures. We are given complete autonomy, within the lease guidelines, to do as we see fit with the property. The residents feel secure that they are in a property owned by a national Christian social enterprise, with assets of over £30 million, and so not with a local landlord who might demand their property back in two months time. They understand that Green Pastures are not going to ask for the property back!

Green Pastures also provide continual support, in terms of practical, emotional and spiritual support to Lifeline which is always greatly appreciated.

We would always recommend any Church or Christian group who are contemplating partnering with Green Pastures to not hold back and to go ahead because they will not regret it!

This organisation needs to get out of its comfort zone and start to see how the placing of their tenants (the homeless) without any support, impacts on the people already living there, who are law abiding, clean living, hard working and responsible people !

I had a flat with shoreline, was awful living there id rather live in a box, the living conditions where horrendous was okay during the summer but the winter was cold as ice the walls got mold no matter how much we scrubbed the walls they took forever to fix things... Just a warning to future resistance be prepared!
