Popped in for a coffee and cake as we always do when we're in Lancaster, and noticed a felting class going on, so my wife joined in and I read some magazines while she made a lovely little felt sheep. Fantastic community cafe and bar. Wish we lived in Lancaster

The Gregson is an amazing community resource with a range of spaces and facilities. A cozy, welcoming cheap bar with a good selection of divine and small beer garden. Simple food can be obtained from the linked kitchen / take away next door. There is large capacity hall with balcony, second bar and (re)moveable stage and sound system, a further bar and small staging area upstairs, and also a small 25 seat cinema, all of which can be rented out at reasonable rates. Free street parking nearby, and all only 5 mins walk from the city centre. What more could you ask for?

Such a lovely cafe - bar - community hub - art centre.
We popped in for a beer and a soft drink and the setting and staff are lovely.
There is lots of art on the wall for sale and the selection of cakes on offer were going down a storm with the rest of the visitors at the centre.

Something for everyone here. From book groups and film clubs to tai-chi and music. The cafe bar is cosy and a perfect place to meet people for coffee or evening drinks. The secret cinema is a brilliant idea. You can hire it and bring 20 friends to see a favourite film.
