Groundhog is the best thing that has happened to our village of Poringland. A great team of the friendliest staff you will ever meet, they stock almost everything you need and will get it for you if they don't have it and they know their stuff. Thank you, you are the best. 😀

Groundhog Hardware store is situated on the main road in Poringland. They stock everything that you would normally want. Having used this store on a regular basis, we have never been disappointed, or unable to get what we require, at as reasonable price. They are always well stocked, and have a large range of products available. The staff are always helpful, and also very knowledgeable of all the products they sell. The building side of this store is equally organised, and very obliging too. Just 4 miles south of Norwich, and well worth a visit. Mr and Mrs Hardesty.

I've experienced nothing but kindness and help from groundhog hardware. On the rare occasion I haven't found what I wanted they have ordered in. A lovely, local family business, and great for finding general items without having to travel to an out of town retail park!

Great place for most home projects with a huse range of all sorts of things. Im a tradesman and regularly visit this shop to get the odd plumbing or electrical items. They have a great range of paints and at very good prices. I recently went through a water pipe and got all i needed from here. My only critisim which isnt groundhogs fault is there is too much plastic packaging around all your pipe fittings etc no reason they cant be loose and at the same time doing that little extra towards a sustainable world. Would be great to see this in the future.

Groundhog is by far the friendliest retailer I have ever encountered. During my time in the trade I have found many company's for supplies for my work and each of those individually stock many aspects of materials.
Bigger retailers I.e screwfix / b&q ect do have cheap items but I rely on quality . And groundhog in poringland provide just that 🙂 yes I still shop in other diy retailers but for the knowledge these guys and girls have at groundhog when asked a question is much more than that of a working in a big retailers . Highly recommend to everyone I know .

Love this place. If they haven't got it they offer to order it and even recommend somewhere close if it's something they don't sell. Very friendly and helpful. Little gem of a place.

Sadly I have to give only 1 star,being a small local business man I use this shop as it is very convenient for me and my clients around this and surrounding areas,I reckon between us we put at least a couple of thousand pounds over the counter each year,so why one star,this morning I needed a paste brush which I found at £4.95 which was double what you pay at Screwfix,but that's not a problem as I said it's convenient,on going to pay with my card I was told there was a minimum charge,this makes me very angry as there is no mimimum charge and this practice is purely down to the retailer,I know we all have charges to pay but for the sake of keeping local people happy especially tradesman you need to change your policy,I will never return and will be advising all my local clients to go down to Screwfix or similar where you can spend as little as you want and get the products at a much cheaper price,you have probably lost at least £2000 for the sake of 5 pence through a stupidly Jurassic practice, regards the local handyman
