Family members 21st birthday (50 guests):
I would start by saying that the experience was fantastic overall.

Facilities:
The kitchen, toilets, bar & hall were all very clean & smelt fresh which is always a good start & all Facilities were easily accessible & suited to the occasion.

Staff:
The staff were all friendly, easy to talk to & very accommodating. No issues whatsoever.

Bar:
All drinks served were cold, the glasses were clean & the service was quick which was great considering how quickly people started ordering in large quantities. Again no issues whatsoever.

To summarise the experience was a 10/10 & I would in good conscience recommend this venue to anyone looking for somewhere to host an event be it a party or other celebration.

Thank you to the staff who made the night a great one for me & all family & friends in attendance.

After attending my mothers wedding party on the 29th June 2024 at the Hadley centre I was absolutely disgusted.

The options of drinks where is appalling! Four type of drinks for a crowd of 100. Not everyone likes warm Cider and vodka with Pepsi.

The drinks where a major issue to! Not only where they 5 months out of date on the tap but the even the bottled drinks in the fridge where 3 months out of date.

The glasses where dirty, full of scum around the top of the glasses, cloudy marks around the glass.

Now the bar staff where clearly not trained to run a room of a 100 people, they where rude, unprofessional, unprepared and damn right disrespectful to my family. We where charged double for drinks, snarky comments where made and they clearly hate their job.

I felt like I was on an episode on crime watch. The bar staff where constantly staring at people, watching everyone’s every move. It was not fun.

I will be taking this higher!

Date of stay: 29th June 2024
Celebration: Wedding

Absolutely awful. A £100 fee was payed before hand to ensure that anything WE did as guests using the room would cover any inconveniences etc. We didn’t receive it back - when we should have!

- Drinks were MONTHS out of date and still being served.
When family members realised this, they took it back - mentioning an off taste to the alcohol. When the bar staff took notice to the dates, they went into a huff with their customers who should be provided with tasty drinks to compliment the evening. J2O’s were offered by a male bar member for free because they were OUT OF DATE! Illegal!

- Overcharging for drinks
Multiple members of the family who ordered that night were astonished to the unbelievably grossly high amounts of money they were spending on drinks - not to mention there were only 4 choices for up to 100 people!! 3 drinks cost £34 which is disappointing. The same MALE bar tender tended to be the one over pricing and saying that he OWED us for drinks - shouldn’t be the case if he was respectful and HAD experience.

He got angry at us because of his and the bars mistakes. Making the bride and groom uncomfortable to enjoy their night. Chirping into conversations where NOT necessary and glaring at some members of the family who travelled HOURS to be there that night!! Serving drinks in cloudy, greasy glasses.

There were bottles of alcohol ALREADY at the function room scattered outside near the back door to the bar. It WASN’T us!!

The bricks that the children apparently drew with were influenced by the ALREADY drawings on the floor - if it was that much of an issue they should have been cleaned up before the wedding - months notice - and a sign should have been made. But there WASNT.

Overall my family and I are absolutely appalled with our stay and SHOULD have been payed back the £100 fee as we were all left mortified with what we experienced that night!

Terrible experience!

Due to staffs lack of preparation, I and many others were served beverages that were out of date. Although a complaint was made, out of date beverages continued to be served with bar staff being rude to guests. This resulted in guests without beverages for some time before they actually decided to replenish their stock🤦‍♂️

Found bar staff to be miserable and rude, spirits were pricey and definitely seemed to be watered down, the temperature was ridiculously warm inside yet every time the air con was put on the bloke would switch it off and leave guests in stifling heat, appliances used for keeping food warm were also being switched off constantly, not welcoming at all, wouldn't ever recommend to anyone for a function again

Joined a line dance class, room good, coffee good, dancing good mix of music and instructions. Car park a bit lumpy but otherwise ok.

A clean, easily sign posted and sweet little hall. Plenty of parking and lots of space inside. Could do with a little updating; lick of paint on the walls, signage ect
