Attended a football reunion at this venue. A good sized club and over 200 people attended the event. The only downside was that they ran out of beer early in the evening. Overall good location for an event clean and tidy with good facilities.

We had a baby shower there and now we have booked the christening. The staff were amazing couldn't do enough for us, the room was warm/hot very clean and couldn't ask for more

I booked a 60th birthday party for my mother the weekend just past. We booked it a couple of months prior and paid the full amount requested for the room on the day which we didn't mind one bit. We decided to book our function here due to the fact it was close by and accessible. I'm the day of the event things just became ridiculous, firstly my sister who was going to prepare the room for the evening to be told they had no knowledge of the event being booked what so ever until she finally looked in the book the which we were told there had been no payment. Luckily my sister had the receipt to hand.. to which we were then told we are meant to phone up at least a week prior to the event. My sister had phoned 2 weeks prior to request a later bar which was denied but confirmed the event was going ahead. She then said well I've got no staff so I'll have to go try and arrange some. I then arrived to set the food up, hat got to me was that no single person came through to greet me or ask if everything was ok or even if I needed anything.. I even left completely alone which I wouldn't have minded if someone had just acknowledged I was even there, this became even more apppaent when my sister actually went looking for someone and tried shouting for someone to talk to, to which she got o reply. When the even finally went ahead, the bar staff were terrible, I've never seen such miserable service ever and I've worked in hospitality for many years including as a manager! It left abit of a negative atmosphere around the bar itself, now bare In mind we had booked the room for our event, there were guests socialising at the bar who told to move away from the bar of they werent buying a drink. I can understand this in a normal bar setting but in a private function? Then to top the lot.. we had paid the room until 12 pm and that the bar would be open till 12 when we booked the event... yet we were asked to leave at 11.30pm. I've never seen such a shambles in organisation or service and I am terribly disapointed in the venue. I would never use the Catholic club again for any other event plans would advise other people to avoid this place too.

We use Harraby catholic club as our linedance venue
First two days in since boris allowed us to start back.
Club has done us proud ,re decorated for re done new furniture ,clean and everyone felt comfortable well done x
