We've been to lakeland before so knew what we were expecting. We booked a 2 bed gold and were in golf village 61. The caravan was mostly clean, just a bit of toothpaste on the sink and a bag of shoes left in a cupboard from the previous occupants. But on the whole, clean enough ?|Golf village was a lovely area, however at night there is barely any lighting, so bring a torch ?|Park is well kept and is clean. However the park does need a bit of an overhaul. The price markups in the supermarket are absolutely ridiculous, some things are 2x, sometimes 3x the price of what they are in a normal supermarket. As there isnt a supermarket for 8 miles, people feel compelled to pay it. Its actually disgraceful. The same goes for the chippy on site. |There needs to be more food options like other parks, e.g. at presthaven and hafan y mor there is a wider choice. Papa johns barely had anything available on their menu and lakeside bay was fully booked!|We went off site to ensure local traders got our money instead, flounders is at the end of the road and was reasonably priced, if you drive a little further into grange, theres a spar and some nice takeaways on main street in the village. |As lovely as the park is, i feel we will try parks that have more amenities on in future.

Just stayed here for the last weekend before it shuts for the season! Got upgraded which was a bonus thank you our caravan was the newly developed site 23 bowness the furthest away from amenities but we just used the car to go down to the main facilities as husband not long had hip replacement so easy to hop in the car to be closer to main venue! Bowness is a lovely well kept area in front of the lake the groundsmen do a lovely job keeping the park well kept lovely views the caravan was spotlessly clean couldn’t fault it & any way thanks to the accom cleaners, shower was lovely beds very comfortable nice crisp clean bedding the van had everything you needed with added bonus of dishwasher iron & onsuite. Swimming pool was lovely & warm & easy to book on the app if I had one thing to change there it would be the changing rooms trying to get in & out of them was a little tight! Entertainment we only went one night & kids loved the marina stage venue with the characters putting on a show but you do have to go early for a table, arcades were great for the kids, outside park by the venue was small & grandkids couldn’t go on the frame as it seemed to be for older kids they were to young to climb on it! We ate at the lakeside bar & it wasn’t bad but could do a little better with some dishes but Sunday roast was lovely but weren’t doing desserts on the Sunday which was disappointing for the grandkids as the first night we had a lovely sharing dessert but our orders arrived within 10 minutes of ordering! Grandkids also loved the shop where they had a good selection of gifts! All in all we loved our stay & this site & would love to book again for next year Thank you Haven we’ve enjoyed our time here!

Booked 3 nights on the touring site to try out our new Tentbox.... pitch was large enough with an electric hook up and close to the shower/ toilet block with just just a short walk to the main entertainment complex. The food and drinks were easily ordered through the scan code on the table, and this saved queuing at the bar. Overall we had an enjoyable weekend and will book again come spring. The only down side was the group of youths hanging outside the toilet block causing a nuisance of themselves late at night .

When we arrived, the sticker off the door with the details of the previous visitors wa stuck to the wall right inside the door. Ok, they had clearly left it there themselves but it should've been removed when the van was checked and cleaned as it gave their personal details. So much so, we could tell they had a very young child with them and were the ones who had nicely chucked a used nappy under the caravan and left empty fruit shoot bottles on the table (bad enough leaving it but why these items had been left after the van had been cleaned when they were in full view was not fair).|Weather was warm first night but then got chilly. Realised at that point the heating wasn't working. We reported it but it couldn't be fixed and we were left a diagram how to work it manually. |The cooker worked but was really rusty and was a bit off-putting.|Reported all of the above issues through 'complaints' when got back and sent photos but got a standard reply thanking us for drawing them to their attention and that was it. Was at least expecting confirmation it would gey sorted.|The worst part was the 3 surrounding vans and their occupants. They had a lot of children who spent most of the time circling our van on their bikes. This was constant. We spoke nicely to the adults who seemed to be with them (but clearly not in control of them) to stop them doing this as we saw that they'd ridden into our car and scratched it. The "adults" seemed unphased, just carried on regardless and weren't bothered at all at the damage caused or the kids being nothing short of feral. The kids even tried to come into our van 4 times - the adults just laughed it off and they clearly didn't care at all. Fair enough, not Haven's fault on the face of it but a tip for you here - you can clearly see people who pay extra to book their accommodation to be together - DON'T put a couple without kids right next to them |Did feed all of this back but got a reply that was basically fobbed us off. Such a shame as the site is in an amazing location with so much in offer. If we'd have had a more constructive reply, we wouldn't have felt the need to leave a further reply.

This was our first visit to Lakeland and overall we enjoyed the park and the facilities. The staff were friendly, the area was well kept and there were good activities on offer. ||The van we had was old and worn. It was a dog friendly van or which I felt has been very unloved. But it was ok. The pool changing area was quite dirty and worn. We also found the chlorine levels unbearable. My daughter swims 4 times a week in a club and cometes regularly and she had to get out to rinse her face.i was sitting poolside and the chlorine was hurting my eyes.||I really would like a caravan of my own, and I did like Lakeland. The area is beautiful however, as my daughter couldn't go swimming, that would put me off buying a van at this site.

Truly Fantastic. The Caravan was excellent and spacious. The campsite provided all our needs. There were so many fun activities to partake in and it's such a beautiful place to just go to relax as well. The food was lovely and the staff were very kind. The arcade was a lot of fun as was the pool. Would highly recommend a visit.

Nice little place, can't complain about anything in all honesty. The site is down quite a.long straight road out of town, if you don't drive bare in mind it's a bit of a walk from the station.

our caravan needed a bit of fiddling around to get the heating working too which wasn't ideal with it being 5-10 degrees daily.

If you want a pint or a pizza, would suggest bringing your own to the site as well as they're quite expensive!

Overall a good time, £90 for 4 nights, you can't really argue with.

Caravan was nice and spacious and had been cleaned, sofa was very stained and could have done with cleaning. No toaster in caravan, went to Reception and was promised one would be delivered, never received it. The staff in the Marina Bar were rude and dismissive when I asked for a drink to be changed as the cider bottle was extremely dirty. The staff in Papa John Pizza Place were very rude; we never received part of our order and when I went to ask for the rest of the order, I was called a liar by one of staff in front of several other customers and told I wouldn’t be getting the rest of my order, as they had given it to me already, which they hadn’t.

We have been to several different Haven holiday parks, and always really enjoyed our visits, including previously going to Lakeland but sadly we won’t be going back!!
