My gran was in here for a short time and the staff were great. If it was not for the staff I would not have found out my gran passed away. I was ill with a cold and told to stay away but when they knew the time was near they arranged for me to go and say my good byes by moving her to another room away from the other patients. And I was so glad I had that chance. So respect to those that work here.

Thank goodness for Hayward house and all the staff. My mum had been diagnosed with throat cancer four months before she died, mum needed a short stay for symptom control and she was adamant she didn’t want to go “ in hospital “ at all. During her stay the staff became mum’s friends and Hayward house became her second home, mum even named the garden her “secret garden “ mum actually told us when the time came for her that was where she wanted to be. Sadly not too long after mum was admitted again this time she was given her own room and all of her family were able to stay and we were made to feel so very welcome. My mum was treated beautifully I can’t thank the staff enough. My mum was a very precious, private and dignified lady and that was how she stayed till her very last breath. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
