Great if you're on benefits and someone else pays the hefty service and care charges etc. Don't expect more than dispensing medicines or pinging a microwave if your relative or you needs care .They avoid personal care like bathing or care plan above level 2 at all costs .Very willing to take immobilec residents to shops at exorbitant hourly rate though Purchase shared ownership at your peril , exit charges are thousands .Looks fancy, catered food poor. Female cliques in residents but male residents in minority ,Father hated it .Social life totally lacking as not enough participation except for paid events. Boiling hot in summer , lots of dehydrated elderly people with UTI 's.Don't be fooled by appearances or their care quality report. Some lazy, opinionated long serving older care assistants with attitudes who constantly ring you as they can't be bothered to look in cupboards for supplies .Young ones mostly lovely girls.Supposed to be a charity, not right ethos. Older staff only care to minimise their work load .No wonder lots of properties for sale .Totally bad option for buyers and elderly males .Beware , this was our experience. Good option if you get referred on benefits and are female and don't need a lot of care .

My Mother in Law has lived here for many years and my Dad will move in to the same scheme this year. It is clean and well run with carers on site. My parents would have lived here together before Mum died, but she had dementia and was, therefore, "unsuitable " for living here.
