Joanna and Gary were extremely welcoming and friendly and really helped to make our vision become reality. The venue was absolutely beautiful and having the flexibility of having the space available to us the day before and after the wedding for set up and pack up was a godsend.
Our wedding day was rainy but it certainly didn’t feel that way with all the shelter and space that the venue offered.
We were originally gutted that it was too rainy to have our ceremony up in the birch church, but Joanna and Gary did such an amazing job of helping us stage the stretch tent, as our plan B option. I’m so glad we followed Joanna’s recommendation because the stretch tent looked so beautiful and the ceremony turned out to be the absolute best part of the day for us!
The venue was perfect for our garden party style wedding and allowed us to add our own personal touches, enhanced but the beautiful setting of the grounds.
I cannot recommend enough!
It was the best day of our lives!

This venue went far beyond my expectations to say the least. The host's were fantastic! They catered for our every need with ease to make our special day even more special. If you are looking for a class wedding venue with outstanding house accommodation and also with superb glamping accommodation then i couldnt recommend this one more! The hosts Gary and Joanne really went above and beyond for our very niche viking themed wedding. Thank you for everything.

Where to begin?! From our first visit we were made to feel so welcome and comfortable by Joanna, Gary, and their whole family and we knew instantly that we had to have our wedding at Higher Holcombe.

Being a DIY venue meant that we had total freedom to create a day that truly reflected us but we couldn't have pulled it off without Joanna and Gary lending us their time and advice on the day and in the months leading up to the wedding.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning and we had so many of our guests telling us how beautiful it is and asking how we managed to find such a hidden gem on our doorstep!

I could go on and on but we will never find enough words to praise Higher Holcombe. Joanna and Gary have put their heart and soul into creating a relaxed yet high class venue and they should be extremely proud of the results. We cannot thank them enough for making our day so absolutely perfect ❤️

We chose Higher Holcombe as we wanted a festival-style wedding with plenty of flexibility. We booked a viewing on a bit of a whim, but we knew straight away at our visit that it was the perfect venue for us. Joanna was such a delight and sent helpful bits of info, recommendations and check-ins. You can really sense she is so passionate at what she does and that comes through in what amazing attention to detail there is at the venue. We were able to make the most of the stunning scenery, as well as using the barn as a central hub. We loved that the venue provided a whole bunch of borrowable decorations and props, and also there were no sneaky ad-on charges meaning we had peace of mind when booking suppliers. We had the most amazing wedding day, I can't put it into words, but it was definitely all thanks to Higher Holcombe letting us run wild with our plans and ideas. We also love that the venue encourage an eco-friendly mindset which is something that was important to us too. The on-site accommodation was fantastic too, enabling many of our guests to stay on site and not have to spend a fortune on overpriced hotel rooms. The inceribly flexible space and accommodation options also enabled us to have our closest friends and family stay from the evening before the big day. In hindsight this was extremely valuable to us as it allowed us time to properly speak to all our guests over the course of the weekend - we would have really struggled had we only had the wedding day. Higher Holcombe are constantly making improvements to the venue, and I can't wait to see what wonderful things they add in the future. If you want a flexible venue in a beautiful natural setting, you won't find better.

I recently attended a wedding here and was blown away by the stunning location and beautifully landscaped grounds. I had the pleasure of hosting the South West UK, Wedding Supplier GROW Workshop & Networking at Higher Holcombe in their beautiful Old Dairy Venue Space. Even on a rainy December day, the Higher Holcombe landscape and grounds looked stunning, and the beautifully finished Old Dairy was the perfect space to welcome our wedding suppliers to take part in the days activities. The space had all new facilities, including toilets, a kitchen and bar area integral to the venue space, which made it perfect for bringing people together.

Jo was super helpful throughout the run up to the event, as well as on the day and cannot thank you enough for your efforts in making the event run smoothly!

What a unique venue!! We held our intimate wedding here in May 2021 after so many postponements.

The venue provides a relaxed, boho and rustic style with beautiful woodland surroundings for wonderful photos!

I spent the night before and the morning of my wedding at the fabulous and spacious farmhouse with my bridal party. Jo was so kind to leave Prosecco for us to enjoy and relax. We had our ceremony in a nearby church and we came back to the beautifully renovated farmhouse for food, drinks and celebrations with our guests. We had the best day ever!! And to top it off, the bride and groom have the option to stay in the quirky hobbit house.

My son, Thomas, and his wife, Holly, chose your venue for their wedding last May. It was such a special celebration: the magical setting; comfortable and relaxing accommodation for friends and family to stay and most of all your time and generosity as hosts. It really did seem that you genuinely wanted it to be a truly memorable occasion for them and their guests. And you went out of your way to enable it to be so... from games on the lawn, lighting the firepits, mowing additional fields to enable access for Tom's wheelchair-bound grandfather...

The morning after the wedding as you, Joanne, were mopping up the dance floor I said a bit sheepishly it looks a bit sticky. You laughed and replied something along the lines, "A sticky floor is the sign of a good party!"
