The Guardroom, at X RAF Binbrook, Brookenby, has been turned into a coffee shop. It's open every Wednesday between 10 am and noon. There is a lot of work going on by HIS Church, to turn RAF Binbrook into a must visit historical site. Binbrook village is just down the hill, with the normal village amenities, should you need refreshments, food, etc. Just remember, it's Wednesdays when the coffee shop at the Guardroom is open. There is small cafe and charity shop, at Saint Michael's and All Saints Church, at Brookenby's community centre (previously the Sergeant's Mess). You would have to check up on the days and times that they are open. As a thriving rural community, people are very welcoming and friendly. They work together to make a visit to the area worthwhile, especially during the summer months.

They do some great work here, both in terms of their re commissioning of the base HQ and guardroom but their charitable food and good distribution operation. Fantastic work.

Don't know much about the church. We stopped off at RAF Binbrook museum.
