The reason I go there is for a good beer, game of cards and banter. I am involved with crib 2nights a week where about 6 teams play out of most of the year. Friday evenigs Sun dinner time is Phat. The veer is cheap compared to the village and town. It has pool table, snooker tables darts plus a reasonable sized car park. The atmosphere is good bug not politically WOKE because we do not stand on ceremony here. Staff are great top downwards. Good Hall for functions again reasonable priced drinks compared to other places around. Try the place you will get served it all comes down to whether you like it or not and may be make new friends or even join one of the games Teams?

I have been here many times now and it is a friendly club, where the staff look after you. 3 x snooker tables and 1 English pool table, darts, etc. Regular events like bingo, raffles and live music. They have a function room for hire too. I recommend the place and the people ?

Good sized venue with large function room. Generally clean throughout but the gents toilets smell like they haven't been cleaned in ages. Drinks fair prices.

Always so friendly x very helpful. A place to hold function of any kind, wedding car hire everything under one roof with a very good price. The chauffeur is just brilliant.

I was extremely disappointed with the service that we received from Roger & co at the Histon & Impington British Legion. I hosted a joint 30th birthday party here and I would not recommend this place as a venue to anyone. The size of the hall was decent and the location is good. However, this venue was let down massively by the staff. Before the party started we were promised that a member of staff would meet us at the venue and then leave a key with us so that we could set up throughout the day. On the day, the lady that met us reneged on this promise and said she would stay with us until we left. This would have been fine had she not been very impatient, constantly telling us that she "had things to do" and trying to hurry us up. On the night, the service behind the bar was incredibly slow, the staff were extremely rude and then became very aggressive when it came to closing time and it really put a dampener on the party. We had several people telling us that they had waited over 20 minutes to get a drink and they didn't know how to get the card machine working. This meant that we had to send people 15 minutes (30mins round trip) up the road to the nearest cash machine, not ideal when you have limited time at the party. The DJ - Roger - was awful. We spent ages putting together a specific playlist of songs that meant a lot to us and our guests, only to have Roger ignore most of what we had requested, instead playing some terrible music of his own choosing. To top it off, Roger spent the first hour outside directing traffic! I had to go out and ask him to come inside and start DJing because everyone was already inside wondering when the party was going to get started. We only had a handful of guests driving and there were no issues with the parking so what he was doing out there, I do not know. The next day we went in and spoke to Roger and the President of the venue and neither seemed to want to listen to any feedback. This is worrying because it means it is doubtful that they will amend their poor practices or the terrible attitude of their staff.

Overall, the service was a disgrace and I would suggest you look elsewhere before booking this venue.

Nice ale nice people plenty of parking has some good shows. Come along a join £3.00 a pint with a loyalty card. Very good value.
