My nan was placed here for 7 months before she passed last month. The other negative reviews are clearly nothing to do with the actual care home as we visited every week and saw the care and compassion the residents received. So putting reviews about a landlord on a care home is unfair.Nan was previously placed at Collins House and repeatedly asked us not to leave etc her but never said that here! She was clean, fed and appeared happy. The staff kept us up to date with everything and even attended her funeral. Thank you for giving nan a safe environment to spend her final months & for putting our minds at rest we always knew she was safe and taken care of. Jackie cannon and family

This place is NOT a care home. It is where you dump people to die. Any 5 star reviews are fake or by paid staff. Management are compulsive liars and it is severely understaffed for the 42 extended care fees they con from the Council and taxpayers. Only 3 staff on one morning I was there, to see to 42 people who needed morning care. Management are usually on the door steps having a long smoke break and the owner is never to be seen inside the house. When the Owner was cornered outside and asked by a patient why he had not had his morning painkillers, the owner/care manager did not know his name or who he was, even though the patient had been there for 6 months! Later the patient was accidentally dropped on the floor and ended up in hospital. You often have to step over humans just left on the floor in the lounge. Patients under fed, one meal a day and little assistance given to eat, your meal is taken away if you do not eat it in time. I witnessed five meals returned in one sitting because no assistance was available, even though it was asked for. Some staff routinely swear at patients and make efforts to ignore them if they keep asking for help. This is NOT a care home, it is a money making scheme for the rarely seen arrogant owner/so called designated "care manager". aka "Don't Care Manager".

My father was here for 3 1/2 years until he passed away September 2020. I cannot fault this care home at all. The care my father received was amazing. The staff are amazing and always made you feel welcomed. Without this place I don't know what we would have done as we had tried other care homes and they were awful. Meals are all freshly cooked on the premises and always looked and smelt lovely. Everyone is treated with the upmost respect and nothing is ever to much trouble. Thank you to each and everyone of the staff for the love and care my father received we will forever be truly thankful.

As another reviewer has said, "not a person to be trusted" very true. I lived in one of his HMO houses temporary till I found a trustworthy landlord.
It was very dilapidated, old wooden windows, terrible heating, dirty cupboards and walls, old bed with dirty mattress. He spends nothing on that house, yet his house I discovered from another tenant is big and probably expensive. A person who's ambition is to make money and put himself above others.

The owner of this Nursing Home owns several properties, houses and flats, which have tenants either renting a room or flat in Thurrock which are in a bad state of repair. He never visit's his tenants, uses an agent to collect rent. He hides in the nursing home so has no idea the condition of the properties he owns. 1 property, shared accommodation, which has 29 legal requirements to bring up to legal living standards set by Thurrock Council, he hadn't visited in 15 years or more. So he had no idea of it's condition, rotten windows, around 50years old, kitchen cupboards falling apart, leaking roof, no electrical safety certificate, no fire proof doors or alarm and many other issues. He is only interested in rent payments, never inspecting his property to see what repairs are needed. Now because he has to pay out thousands to bring up the property to legal living standards he's evicting all the tenants, an old age pensioner and a single mother with 2 children.
He , his brother and sister, a solicitor were all arrested on fraud charges a few years ago. Not a person to be trusted.

Everyone from owner to caring staff are very friendly, residents are very well looked after. All meals are prepared and cooked on-site for residents. Home is generally very clean.
