I contacted Home Instead for a relative with dementia, who was reluctant to accept care. I was reassured that the dementia champion at Home Instead would persuade them to accept help, and develop a working relationship with them. I was happy to pay the charges if it worked, and they were confident it would. I think there were 4 successful visits, a few unsuccessful visits where access was denied, so I cancelled the contract. This failed provision was charged over £1000, including a £295 set up fee. I didn't think my relative would accept care, but Home Instead were so persuasive and confident, I thought it was worth a go. It was a very expensive experiment, and I feel I was mis-sold what they could provide.

Home Instead have been caring for my 88yr old father for a year now and the care has always been faultless. The team from the office through to the daily carers provide a professional yet very personal experience, to the point where dad feels heard and respected with specific needs. Daily conversation over a cuppa keeps him entertained, he loves telling me snippets and gets on well with all no matter what their age. Overall his dignity is the team's priority and this is very evident in their mature and calm approach. Thank you everyone, life is much brighter for him having you around.

The Home Instead team have proven themselves to be both efficient and friendly in establishing care needs on short notice when required. The communication flow between the team and myself (and my mum) is effective and clear in addressing any issues that transpire. The care team are friendly and reliable, and make good use of the time they spend with mum.
