The 20 year old I just talked to on the crisis line was completely unprofessional. I called in crisis and she showed no empathy compassion or understanding. They also have given me conflicting information when trying to leave an abusive situation which is also super unsafe and I am completely taken back by this organization. Super ironic you guys are called “Hope” cause I found none of that here. Do better.

Women’s space helped me in one of the hardest parts of my life. They not only were there for me but they were there for my daughters. With their help I was able to provide a healthier stable life for my kids, and now 8 years later I can say my daughters now know what a healthier relationship and happier parent looks like. I owe this organization so much. They have truly changed our lives. I wouldn’t be where I am without the amazing women that helped me at women’s space. No one wanted to listen until I met the women at this organization. Thank you for all of you that took the time to listen.

This used to be a truly phenomenal community resource for battered women, but when I called today the front desk person knew nothing, and transferred me to the crisis line where I was refused any information for my client who recently escaped a brutal and dangerous situation, and would not even disclose her name. This was the most inappropriate and unprofessional interaction I have ever had with an agency that is supposed to be helping survivors. I highly recommend going elsewhere, you will find neither help nor safety at this organization.

Advocates (some) talk bad about victims and complain. They welcome and accommodate female victims rather than men going against their mission and vision. Office coordinator steals the donations for the victims, claiming to take the good stuff for her kids/family. Discriminate against gender and race both with victims and workplace.

I donated a few bags of clothing to them recently. I felt like they were appreciative and happy to get them. I felt good knowing that they would go to women who really could use them. Some women leave an abusive relationship with just the clothes on their backs. A woman came in while I was waiting for the Receptionist to get a cart to help me load the clothes in and within just a minute, 2 Social Workers were in the lobby helping her. I was impressed by the level of caring and attention that they were giving to the woman. I think it is a great place for women to seek help and I'm so glad that I was able to help in some way. I will definitely donate there in the future.

I asked for help many times over the past couple years. They say they will help, but they don't. When you call the person on the phone yawns and tells you to go live with your family. They gave me 10 bus tickets once. I was never given a way out. I don't understand why they don't care about me.

I recently asked for help again after being choked by my abuser. they again promised to call back and never did. Now thier lack of empathy is just insulting. I messaged them asking for help with a winter coat. They had told me that they could help with clothing. I was ignored completely. I ride the bus to work and I had hoped they could at least help me with that. I'm honestly not sure they actually help anyone anymore. I tried for 2 years. Nothing. Just empty promises to repair my car, help me with housing, and then nothing. Just nothing.
