There for our new Slimming World group though I have been before to events there. Its your typical WMC, dated furnishings and decor, and it has a faint whiff of damp about it, but it's spotless, and lovely and roomy. And good toilet facilities which is always a plus. We use the side room, which has a disabled ramp, and there's good parking surrounding it.

Absolutely dreadful. I came here to a funeral wake. The room was shabby and tired and could have done with a hoover. In the toilets the sinks were blocked with toilet paper and very smelly. We were in the small back room the food consisted of corned beef sandwiches, egg sandwiches, and cheese sandwiches. No butter or mayo or relish and they were dry and on the cheapest of white sliced bread. There was a slow cooker bubbling away with what was supposed to be Lancashire hot pot but it consisted of very large chunks of carrot and potato with tough meat in bisto gravy. For a drink there was a large urn with odd mugs and you helped yourself. When we arrived the room was not ready and the ramp we had requested not available and the bar was not properly stocked ie they had no gin!!!!!!. To top it all as we were leaving there was some sort of fight breaking out among the guests at a funeral wake in the other room and the police had been called. I later learnt the family had paid a premium price for this and it spoilt the day. What a disgrace to the person who had died. No stars for this venue but google wont let me post without a star

Went to a birthday celebration upstairs. Great place to hold a party with bar, toilets, buffet space and large hall.
Had to go upstairs but once there no need to go back down as everything you needed was on this floor.
Recommended.
