Don't speak to them. Knocked on my door uninvited. Got a load of abuse when I said I didn't want to speak to them.
To cross someone's property threshold, and that includes going up a garden path, uninvited, unless a professional eg postman, or emergency service is in itself illegal trespass. You don't need a notice on your door about unwanted callers as they should not get that far.
This charity ignores the law and abuses you when you remind them of your rights. Just because they are a charity doesn't mean they can flour the law.
Awful bunch if rude people.

A man came to the house asking for support for this charity which helps people with dementia. I said I could make a donation but I couldn't do a regular payment. I offered him £10 but he said he wasn't allowed to take cash. He said it would have to be a bank to bank transaction and could I make the payment £10.83. I agreed. I have just received a letter saying I have agreed to a recurring monthly payment. He left without giving me any paperwork which I thought was odd. I'll be cancelling this first thing tomorrow.

I have had the same experience as last reviewer, re intrusive chuggers claiming to be from this charity. I shall be phoning the head office tomorrow to complain, since the suspicious call was after office hours. The 3 individuals who called at my property did the text book distract of one call at front door while another walked down the drive to try not be seen. Needless to say I have phoned police to alert of this concerning incident

The booklets from Independant age have been invaluable for elderly friends I sent fir them for
They are easy to follow written in simple terms ( not gov paper terms) and give good practical and legal advice we all need to know whether we are older or families with older relatives needing help and support
I honestly think everyone should have copies once they reach pensionable age Just knowing there’s support out there and your rights to benefit and care is everyone’s right to understand and know
Thanks independent age you’re doing an amazing job

Awful. Disorganised and inefficient. Spend more on advertising and fundraising than they do on service provision.
