The bridge across the brook on Breachfield Road that Jelsons want to replace has been there for over 60 years, showing no real signs of wear, which reflects on how often it is used.
So why distroy our trees and natural habitat for birds and other small animals when there is perfectly good access a few meters down the road.
During lockdown when the trees were in blossom and there were young birds, squirrels playing, ducks with ducklings, halfway through summer when w couldn't go anywhere, and then again into the autumn when we were lockdown again, we could see the colours changing. It has all been a pleasure to watch, and beneficial to our state of mind.

Planning to cut down mature trees to widen a footbridge - this will damage wildlife spot. This new, wider bridge is not needed as there is another accessible bridge 50 metres away! Residents don't want this, but Jelson are continuing with plans to remove trees in order to get machinery in to build bridge.

Disappointed to hear of the plan to cut down established trees in our local village which provide habitat and shelter to wildlife to build a larger footbridge. Surely more effective planning can avoid this whilst still providing suitable access!

The builders are absolutely great. We love our home. The small snag list we had was sorted out very quickly and to a good standard.

The sales person Helen in the office however was very unhelpful and needs to be trained as she told us lots of things that were not true. She is the first face you see and had we not been to the birstall office first we would have walked straight back out. She definitely let's the team down.

Jelsons lack of compassion for our village, cutting down 5 mature trees for a footpath that already exists further down the road. Appalling! Wildlife needs these trees and we need them to look at.

There must be other options. Not the quickest and cheapest.
