Had an abdominal ultrasound here. Cannot fault the hospital or the staff. Arrived early and was seen straight away. Hospital is clean. Staff are first class. A credit to our NHS.

I was visiting Gainsborough and unexpectedly came down with a severe UTI. I visited on a Thursday, was taken to triage within 10 minutes, and in due course saw a doctor who conducted a thorough review of my situation, history etc, and prescribed an appropriate antibiotic

Fantastic to have this facility on our doorstep. Although it’s not an A&E it is open throughout the day for minor emergencies. Great service, friendly staff and very clean. Thank you NHS, how lucky we are.

The urgent care team at Gainsborough literally rescued me.. a nasty cough turned for the worse on Good Friday, of course it did, the day I can’t access my GP. In desperation I drove to Gainsborough John Coupland to seek help. The staff there are kind. The reception, triage nurse and doctor were sympathetic and friendly. Within 2 hours I left with a prescription for antibiotics (the first in 17ys) and took my first lot at 6pm. By bedtime the uncontrollable cough started to calm down. I’ve never been so grateful. A cough doesn’t seem like much but when you can’t stop it’s frightening.

I came in on the 04/03/24 to get some stitches removed. The staff at the emergency care unit were very helpful and nurse Jenny did the job in less than 5 mins. Great staff and hospital.

Just had an inguinal hernia operation done at John Coupland Hospital under local anaesthetic and from my initial consultation 3 weeks ago to the operation yesterday I can honestly say the whole team were fantastic. The team were professional but had a friendly and caring approach which put me at ease for my operation. They had the time to explain everything that was happening and I never felt rushed, they really couldn't have done more for me, outstanding care! The consultant, Mr Jibril, was brilliant, such a skilled and efficient surgeon and a really nice chap too. I even received a follow up call from a nurse the next day to see how I was getting on after my operation! If I ever need another hernia operation in the future John Coupland Hospital will be my first choice without doubt. Thank you so much to all the team in the Surgical Day Care Unit, this is the NHS at it's very best!

Went to the pharmacy at Morrisons as daughter complaining of stabbing pains in her ear. They directed us to JCH. Receptionist efficient and friendly. Short wait. Clean rooms. The Nurse Practitioner we saw and student were lovely, didn't rush us. They were thorough with checking daughter's ears and asking questions and because the pharmacy had closed by that time, they managed to sort out antibiotics that evening so my daughter could take them straight away. Gainsborough and surrounding villages would be absolutely lost without this place. Better service than our doctors, where you can't get an appointment for love nor money!
