I donated £20, and they never came to collect my tree. Contacted them via email to be told that the collections had now finished, but I could take it to the tip for free! Never had any issues before, but it seems a bit of ice and snow has caused them to just not bother collecting most trees and doing nothing about!

Never came to pick up the tree, and never replied to emails sent to them asking for a follow up. I see at least one neighbour on our street who seemed to be in the same situation. Took it to the dump myself.
Cool idea, but not impressed with the execution...

Very disappointing this year as tree wasn’t collected. I don’t think it should have been our responsibility to recognise this as surely they can see on their records? But apparently it was and then it was too late (only a few days after designated date) I love to give to charities which is why we chose this method of disposal but I will have to think twice next year.

Unfortunately incredibly unhelpful service. I have used them to collect my Christmas tree for two years prior to this year, and have always had a positive experience but unfortunately this year I was let down.
I received a call from one of the volunteers on the pick up weekend saying that they’d checked my property and hadn’t found my tree so they couldn’t collect it. The tree was right outside my front door, so I don’t believe they actually checked. I contacted the volunteer who said she would come back later and collect it.
After a week, my tree still hadn’t been collected (it was the 19th of January at this point). I contacted the MCR Collection team who did not reply. After a further email three days later, I recieved a generic email saying that there had been delays due to the weather but that they would still be collecting. After another week, my tree had still not been collected so I followed it up again and was told that the weather was still delaying collections, but that my tree would be collected by this Tuesday (28th January). By Wednesday it had not been collected, and unfortunately the team stopped answering my email.
In the end I contacted Biffa who came and collected it the same day - will be using them going forward!

Amazing idea from an amazing charity. My tree was collected even though the weather conditions were particularly bad this year! Will continue to use Just Helping supporting amazing charities across Manchester.

Just had an email thanking me for donating my tree? But no one came? Tree left out for 7 days at the front of the drive, no collection, no phone calls, no emails. My recycling men kindly took it. What a joke 🤡😡

I have used the just helping Christmas tree collection for the third year. The local charity that does it is Hospice in the Weald. They helped my mum so beautifully in her last few weeks and every bit of support financially oh needed.

reliability. I greatly admire their efforts and will happily donate again next Christmas.
