I have been having horrendous problems with hospital transports including their contractors. A lovely lady here gave me a supporting letter to try and help assist me. Unfortunately the serious issues still stand and I am having to go via the Court Proceedings avenue. This wasn't going to being resolved promptly especially as my partner and I had reported a number of NHS staff and Senior Nurse to the Police previously. One of which was allegedly involved in investigating my complaints. Thankfully due to the previous saga. I now document my evidence in the forms of visual and voice recordings and numerous photographs. Thank you Kidney Care UK.

Whilst I would not want in any way to be unfair or disparaging to the help given to individuals by this organisation, I do feel compelled to take issue with the decision making process seemingly employed by them in respect of offering help and assistance.
Having already self-funded numerous aids and adaptations within our home to assist my Wife's deteriorating health condition, we applied to Kidney Care UK for some small amount of help with the purchase of a much needed rise & fall reclining chair....the request was refused.
The grounds for refusal were based upon the (mid-range) item being considered too expensive for any financial assistance to be given but we were told that if we looked at purchasing a cheaper (unsuitable for my Wife's needs) item, our request could be reconsidered.
I fully understand the financial constraints of working within a budget but I confess at having some difficulty understanding where even the smallest amount of help for a much needed 'life improving item' is refused by an organisation with the slogan 'improving life for kidney patients'.

They are clear unfair & bias, being very selective to whom grant is given rather treating everyone equally. I feel your organisation is breaking their own rules and is being bias in not providing grant were it is most needed.
Martin Plowman, grant co-ordinator, he was very rude, arrogant, aggressive, offensive and impolite - this is unacceptable as a charitable organisation!

Amazing organisation geared wholly towards helping those with Kidney disease who remain at the heart of their thinking and everything they do as a charity.
