The Dairy was an oasis of calm and peace from which to wander the untamed landscape of Knepp. The bothy was welcoming and cosy with a woodburning stove and a basket full of logs and kindling. The four poster bed was really comfortable bedecked with beautiful linen. The gorgeous bath of steaming hot fragrant bubbles eased my aching and sore muscles at the end of each day. Each morning I made a pot of coffee which sang on the stove. Knepp cafe and attentive staff fed me with delicious and nourishing foods at lunchtime after which I would wander home at dusk. Late one day as I returned to the bothy, I heard pounding hooves and across my path galloped a wild herd of Exmoor ponies, untamed and feral. I was reminded of how the landscape might have been for our ancestors and felt a yearning for how it might be for nature to be restored and the land honoured once again. As a final gift before I left the following day, a barn owl quartered ahead of me and quietly disappeared into a fold of the valley. Thankyou Knepp for your vision and your courage and the energy it has taken to act upon those visions.

We stayed for a week in The Dairy. Comfortable and stylish accommodation. Swimming pond a few steps away, as is a small shop for provisions. Safaris meeting point is next to The Dairy. Parking spot is just outside the accommodation. Full use made of the wood burning stove. Really cosy late afternoons and evenings following the various walks. Excellent powerful shower. Easy close access to all the walking trails.||It’s worth knowing that the bedroom is situated on a mezzanine via a narrow staircase. The bed is large and very comfortable but is very close to the floor - the mattress is on a low wooden frame. The bedroom is right up in the eaves of the barn so the occupants need to be agile. If this presents a problem, The Bothy might be a more suitable choice.

Thank you Knepp for having the courage to follow your convictions and to create what you have done. It allowed us to share your vision. We were privileged to be amongst like minded people and it gave us a little bit of hope for the future. We wish you well in all your endeavours. |We stayed 2 nights in a cosy shepherd's hut. The facilities were more than adequate and were grateful for the glamping kitchen where we cooked the delicious breakfast basket. The walk on the wild side was an excellent experience which enabled us to get far more from our stay. Adam was an extremely knowledgeable guide who made our walk very enjoyable. It was such a treat to see the beaver dam so close. The Knepp kitchen was definitely worth a visit.

Maybe it was due to the weather/ season, but for us it was a rather disappointing experience, almost a laugh. Not much wildlife to see except for the wild tourists walking in wellies in the muddy fields. It looked more like a neglected farm, not truly renatured, but with a clever business idea thriving on the wave of doing good things for the economy. Most people drove away in the big SUVs to far away cities. The restaurant had us waiting a long time for an ok but overpriced breakfast. Nothing arrived simultaneously, our teas were cold when the food arrived. The shop is ridiculously overpriced. Like, this chair was Β£1200.

Knepp is a wonderful place to visit to get back to nature and find a slower pace. The wildlife and scenery are spectacular and the staff and friendly and very helpful (particularly Clovis). The facilities are basic but exactly what you would expect at a campsite. Well stocked kitchen and the outdoor bath is a great feature. I would definitely recommend this for a weekend away from the business of real life.

Knepp is a wonderful place to stay, slow down and enjoy nature. The Diary is a great base from which to explore the Knepp estate, with well equipped kitchen, fantastic shower and warming log burner. Parking is available next to the Diary, with a small shop, wild swimming and the start of the walking safaris close by. There are plenty of walking routes allowing you to explore the estate. The detailed tour of the Market Garden which supplies the fantastic Knepp Kitchen restaurant is a great introduction to regenerative farming. The Garden wilding course is great for those who want to wild their own garden and community spaces.

Did the Safari sat after a week of heavy rain was expecting knee deep in mud. As we went off from public areas. Was only slightly wet under food. Great knowledge of the estate. Felt we got loads out of it by the group asking questions. Managed to see stalks, Jay's, fallow deer, red deer, pigs and long horn cows. Most up close. Pigs and deer came across a few times. Some very impressive stags. Didn't see beaver, but did see their impressive work, tree chopping and huge dam building. Nothing was rushed to the point we took an extra hour.

The whole experience was magical! From seeing our treehouse come into view in the wood to lighting our fire pit , truly awe inspiring. It was our second visit , and we managed to see more wildlife this time and everything just exceeded our expectations.|A real tonic!|We will be back!I would like to make a special mention about our guide on the vehicle safari, believe his name was Adam, he was brilliant. He went above and beyond, exceeding our allocated time to make sure we saw everything possible. He was so informative and certainly enhanced our experience. Thank you Adam!
