I went to this location for some housing help put an application and got a worker I told her a have temporary stay with a letter from some family home and I thought they would get on this quick 3 weeks past I didn’t hear anything as she told me she would also pay the people I stay with temporary still nothing I went in person again to confront her she said she only worker she trying her best but then I I waited again now it’s 4 months since I ask for help and I haven’t gotten no response this place disaster there not doing there job right having people wait no response horrible service.

it amazes me that these people work here. They are rude and they don’t care. i’m somebody that’s an easy fix somebody that it’s not completely gone yet that needs help. I’ve been living in my car for over a year and I showed up I was cordial. I was honest and they refused to help me what I heard through the grapevine was they thought I was kidding. that’s what you get for trying to look apart I’ve called several times to ignore me. This is where our tax dollars including my tax dollars because I work too and the person who handled me, she’s a former homeless herself and she’s black and this is I’m not even gonna use the term reverse it’s straight out racism how can these people be so clueless when they work with this every day don’t they get training. They judge people left and right and apparently I’m too privileged despite the fact that I live a horrible life in my mind has wandered off and I’m getting more and more. sick every day living like this my suicide will be on them

and for everyone that thinks that I am exaggerating, try to live in your car for over a year, freezing in the middle of the winter crying outside the car for help and now sweating to the point where you’re so disgusting and so uncomfortable and you already think about tomorrow how are you? Not gonna have access to a shower and you wanna get into a place but the out of control capitalism in Los Angeles had made it impossible to rent so you were relying on these people to help you but they don't

Great program for the community. Always nice and generous staff. They give you snacks and really help families in need of housing. And more! I definitely recommend.

I've been outside for about a month getting in line early in the morning and I still don't have a social worker. Other people/places get me into a tracking system immediately but my doctor is here. UPDATE: They referred me to another place that had showers and got me into a place fast. They clean their side walks weekly and allow you to be there. They have 24hr paid security that was extremely helpful and charged my phone which helped with doctors appointments. They gave me a tent and also provided lunches!

Girl in the front desk with fake lashes was pretty rude when it came to assisting someone who is going to have nowhere to go in a month with a minor . wasn’t so nice about explaining programs or help I can possibly get in a professional manner. When explaining my situation and she didn’t seem to understand she made face expressions. Saying pretty much huh with a face. Instead of trying to understand the situation and talk to you in a amable manner. What kind of assistance for someone who is seeking help is that.? The security guard was more professional & amable than her.. expected better assistance from places like these .

I have been here in LA Family Housing (Bridge Housing) over 2 months. Kelsey Madligan director of Interim Housing isn’t forcing the rules of bring too much stuff in the shelter. Kelsey hides in her office aka closet. They have bed bugs, roaches, mice’s, mold, and plumbing problems. LA Family Housing isn’t living up to there part of keeping the place clean in each room. Please do not buy this building until they fix plumbing problems and roaches problems on the inside of building. If you email the CEO about what’s going on in LA Family Housing, she doesn’t responding to you because she is too busy or you not important to her. Please do not email the CEO because she wouldn’t respond to you. If you a buyer then she would respond to you because she trying to sell the building. This building isn’t worth anybody money because the condition is bad until they fix problems on the inside of building. Update: CEO is a power hungry authoritarian. Chief Programs Officer doesn't follow LAHSA guidance and makes questionable decisions. Lots of ethical concerns. LAFH takes funders money and does what they want with the money and creates positions out of no where. The departmental structures are awful as well. Departments are not program based but task-based. Ineffective communication across departments that are VERY dependent (too dependent) on each other to house participants. Participants constantly fall through the cracks. Monthly all staff meetings are useless at best, degrading/humiliating at worst. LAFH has a conservative culture compared to other homeless services agencies, probably due to it being in the Valley. Update: LA Family Housing are during construction in female wing, but they put us in the community room and computer room with the cameras. The cameras are illegal in the community room and computer room where the ladies sleep at in those rooms. The construction will take place September 23, 2019. They said that it will take about three weeks or more to finish the female wing. Kelsey Madligan, Interim housing director and Sherika McGee, Interim housing manager are going on vacation next week, but Kelsey Madligan cancel the mobile shower truck because it cost them too much money. I think that Kelsey Madligan and Sherika McGee try to keep the money from themselves to go on their vacations. Sherika McGee, and Brandon the security guard are in a relationship during company hours. This morning during my routine Check-In for (Bed Availability) I observed a lady that who was visably Distrought, Tired, and Depressed about her issue of being Homeless. She was crying and didn't have any idea about what to do. As she voiced her situation the staff here came together to help meet her needs. One Staff Member that stood out in particular was a gentleman by the name of Charles. What a guy!!! He went to the back and addressed his colleagues about her needs, and in no time she was helped. Just from the interaction I witnessed I realized that LAFH is not only a Homeless Shelter. They are an Organization of people that takes a personal approach to the Needs of their clients. Good Stuff Mr. Charles!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
