Disgusting. I called to get advised. I live in Lancashire but my child visits regular and I simply called them for advise and they couldn’t wait to end the call telling me I have to ring another location. Even for some simple advise. I would give zero starts if I could.

This is a really dangerous system. Anyone who is frail, vulnerable or confused will be unable to navigate the multiple layers of menu you need to get through in order to actually speak to a person and will thus have no way of contacting social services. I'm a fairly competent adult and I was pulling my hair out when after 5 minutes I still hadn't been given the option of talking to someone.

If I could give 0 i would.
To find my 65year old father and the 3 children he fosters in tears tonight due to being intimidated by some woman social worker he'd never heard off. who turned up with no warning and no ID to apparently check on the 3 vulnerable and did not like being refused access without ID!
Disgusting to treat a man who has spent his life & opened his home to so many vulnerable children over the years this will not be happening again!

Lancashire County Council employed ā€˜Home Care for You’ to care for my disabled mother with Alzheimer’s, so how did she end up with a big infected hole in her back? A grade 4 pressure ulcer. Adult social care safeguarding found that ā€œNeglect did occurā€ and yet Lancashire County Council claim no responsibility, they offered my mother a paltry Ā£200 for her pain and suffering! If you think that Lancashire County County have a duty of care to our elderly, think again. Appalling and disgusting.

Children and myself can honestly say - we are extremely lucky to had Nikky Daley as our allocated Social worker. Nikky is highy professional, putting children safty and their needs as priorities but she never stopped there. To provide the best support to children was her job, but support both parents to focuse on their own challanges - without putting extra pressure toword children - was very healpful and supportive to learn to be the best parents we can be for children and our new future - and for that I will be forwer greatful. Thank you Nikky and good luck in your next work.
