Burnley Birth Centre is truly outstanding and easily one of the best in the country. The fantastic staff are the heart of the experience—compassionate, knowledgeable, and always ready to go above and beyond to ensure every family feels supported and cared for.

The facilities are exceptional, combining a warm, welcoming atmosphere with modern, state-of-the-art equipment to ensure safety and comfort throughout. Every detail is designed to make such a special time in life as smooth and stress-free as possible.

I would highly recommend Burnley Birth Centre to anyone—it sets a gold standard for maternity care!

I had a disappointing experience at the Lancashire Birth Centre. The staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional, showing little understanding or empathy toward patients. Instead of offering reassurance or sound advice, they seemed more focused on scaring patients, which is the last thing anyone needs in such a vulnerable time. I expected a supportive and caring environment, but unfortunately, this was far from it. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues and improve the quality of care provided.
Some of the staff i want to mention named as
Sophie and adrew (Midwives)

Following my partner giving birth on the central birth suite, I can’t reiterate enough how outstanding the quality of care was. Everything was clear, efficient, and completed with empathy. Massive thank you to Sarah who made such a daunting experience for my partner as comforting as it could be, and nothing was ever too much to ask. Thank you to everyone.

Nice staff but post natal unit must be severely underbudget as they only offered jacket potato with either a cheese pot OR beans, not both as there isn't enough for everyone; everything in limited quantity and scraps. Wife decided not to eat under the premise she will be discharged as told then waited around for hours and a jacket potato without melted cheese might as well go in the bin and we didnt want to be wasteful and rather pass this on to another poor soul. They were nice enough to give a tuna sandwich afterwards and lemon cake but just really disappointing when you know a tin of beans feeding 3 people costs 25p and it's not like the hospital uses heinz but wow are they underbudget or spending their money in the wrong places? Really put us down!

We attended recently Central Birth Suite and had to stay few days.
All the mid-wives, staffs were very friendly and supportive. Specially Olivia, Sara and Magda.
May The Almighty bless them all and reward them for their hardworks.

Cannot praise Burnley hospital staff and midwives enough the care on this ward is unreal.. even taking an unsettled baby for an hour just so both me & daddy could get some well needed sleep! I had an elective section yesterday morning, the staff were absolutely amazing got rid of any worries or concerns I had put me so much at ease which after my first son who was born in Blackpool's birth traumatised me for life I've had such a wonderful experience in Burnley. The staff really have gone above and beyond especially on the post natal ward, my midwife is absolutely amazing.

Giving birth should be a joyful experience safe in the knowledge that you are being looked after
Thank goodness that was my daughters experience
Thank you to the midwife’s and the anesthestists who explain everything in a calm kind manner and staff on the birthing unit
It was my daughters first baby despite her best effects she ended up having a emergency C-section
My daughter her partner and myself arrived in the early hours of the morning my daughter was monitored by various midwife’s throughout the night and day also seen by consultation and doctor
Her wishes in her personal birth plan that she had put together were adhered to and checked when caring for her throughout her labour
Her partner and myself were offered tea/ coffe as it was a very long night and day even when my daughter had been taken to theatre a midwife checked on her for me regarding her progress and whilst I was waiting the
ladies who cleaned the room kindly offered me a cup of tea
My daughter was treated with respect and kindness
Myself and her partner were treated respectfully and with kindness too
Maternity has been given a lot of bad press and if the care is not as it should be then quite rightly so it should be
Our experience as a family has been excellent and we cannot thank you enough
The unit hospital was very clean and calm
Special thank you to
Midwife’s Jo&Megan
