Staff were great and we were made to feel welcomed, particularly our Spaniel who proved very popular.
Food offer and pricing very good and the quality of food was very high.
We had a few minor issues with our room which we would’ve lived with but the hotel went out of their way to make it up to us and we ended up with a significant upgrade.
Our only niggle is that we would have liked to have been able to lounge in sofas away from the bar/restaurant area, although there were sofas they seemed very much part of the wedding spaces.
If anyone is thinking of a wedding venue, this place looked awesome and some great locations for photos, my wife suggested we go again (eyeroll emoji).
Overall a very pleasant stay, and the staff were excellent throughout!

We came to Le Petit Château and stayed as a halfway point on our way to Kielder Observatory. Annie kindly arranged for the bar to remain open knowing we’d be back around 11 (when it was due to close). |The meal at William de Percy was lovely and there was vegan options too. |We got married here in 2022, so it was great to see Chloe again who organised the day like clockwork. |The venue is as beautiful as ever, we really enjoyed a look around the grounds. |Thanks again!

Overall our stay was a very positive one. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and always willing to help with any concerns. Hotel itself is stunning, the terrace was particularly magical on an evening sitting around the firepits. Room and hotel in general was lovely and clean. Gorgeous smells everywhere. The only minor issues were the amount of time we had to wait for our evening meal. From ordering to receiving the food it was a total of 45 minutes, however when the food did arrive it was gorgeous, so it was worth the wait 😊. The pillows in the room were very uncomfortable and had seen better days. The room was very dimly lit which I know is quite standard in a boutique hotel, but it would have been good to have a brighter light option for the application of make-up. Also, the room didn't have a full length mirror. But overall, we will definitely be returning and really enjoyed our stay. Gorgeous hotel and staff! We are considering renewing our wedding vows here, just beautiful!

Le Petit Château is such a stunning venue, and I’m lucky enough to photograph weddings here a few times a year—it never gets old! With its French-inspired charm, gorgeous ceremony space, and beautiful gardens, it’s an absolute dream for couples looking for something unique.

The venue’s styling is incredible, from the elegant Belle Époque chapel to the vibrant outdoor spaces that work in any season. The team is always fantastic, making sure everything runs smoothly, which makes capturing natural, relaxed moments so easy.

If you’re after a wedding venue that’s stylish, romantic, and full of character, Le Petit Château is definitely one to check out!

Our stay was a Thursday night and after looking at photos on your website we were excited to stay and have a little luxury for the night. However the room felt poky and small and there was no bath which we expected due to photos. Bed was super comfy but the windows were drafty and mouldy / cracked. Staff were lovely, can't fault them and the food was lush too. Treats for our dog in the room was a nice touch. No room service available which was a disappointment for us.

Wedding ||So I stayed in January 25 for my friends wedding ! So excited on arrival, to celebrate their love for each other at a beautiful venue ! Yes the weather, ie wind was bad! But all guests arrived from all over the country ! I truly cannot believe the venue did not have generators! The electricity was on and off for hours!! We meaning guests all tried to make the most of it and try to make it special ! But at No point did the venue ! We entertained our self’s , we looked after each other entertaining / getting chairs ! We even went to the local shop to get sandwiches / snacks as we hadn’t eaten since breakfast! they wouldn’t serve us drinks , it was a shambles no organised plan B ! The fires went out out side, they ran out of champnge: / Prosecco after wedding vows so not all guests got 1 drink each! Elderly guests weren’t asked if they were ok! Rooms were wet from water left on when electric went out! Food was awful! Shocking! Presentation! Bar staff didn’t know how to behave in an abnormal situation ! It’s sad reallly because the venue is beautiful rooms are lovely ! Guests were stood around with no direction and 1 point were all going to have to leave ! Where would we go Shocking Behaviour and care for safety was dismal ! Sorry there was one the bar staff put in high vis vests! Breakfast was a long time to wait ! And cold ! ||And the next morning after at no point for the guests was an apology i cant imagine how the Brides felt of there wedding being ruined ! This could have been avoided ! In my opinion! Plan B there LS22 always a plan B but sadly in this case there truly was not shame on you spoiling a very special occasion

I loved the decor and the vibe of the hotel / wedding venue. But the only reason it didn't fall apart was due to the amazing people who were there to celebrate the gorgeous couple getting married. ||From arriving the day before the wedding I was unable to get any food due to the power cut, they would not serve us drinks or even place them on a room tab because the tills would not work, I am unsure why this would stop a room tab ... paper and pen it's not that difficult. ||I then woke up and had booked an early breakfast this was my saviour, when mine arrived the power cut occurred again and I was sat with a number of guests who were unable to have a warm breakfast. ||As soon as the power came back on I ran from the table to the shower to get my hair washed and dried in case the power went out again, not the most relaxing situation on a wedding day. ||Lucky enough the power stayed on and the amazing couple had a beautiful ceremony. We then went to the outside area for drinks again beautiful. ||Then it came to the sit down meal, the power went off, we were not allowed to sit at the tables, stood in minimal light and we all had to enter the bar area, not enough seats, not willing initially to serve everyone at the bar, they then agreed we could place drinks to our room. (Anyone not staying there had to find someone to take their bar tab on)||One of the lovely guests asked for chairs bringing out after an hour of most guests standing. ||Then another couple of the fabulous guests attended a local store and bought food so the guests didn't go hungry.||We were informed if the power did not come back on we would be shipped out due to H&S reasons which I do understand but didn't take into account any guests who were not staying at the hotel and had traveled hours to see their friends get married. I found this very poor. ||The brides had clearly spent a lot of money for their perfect day and were stressed at all the obstacles thrown at them with no real solution from the hotel. ||I am fortunate enough to have been surrounded by the best company and still had a wonderful time. ||I am angry at the stress that the brides had to ordeal from very poor management of the venue that could have solved a number of the issues with a generator. ||I would not recommend the hotel for these reasons but on a positive note, I laughed, I stressed but laughed a bit more and when the power came back on had the best time dancing and having fun. ||It's an expensive venue and seeing the beauty of it I understand why it is, but failed us on the two days and no back up power at a wedding venue is not acceptable.

After getting married at Le Petit Château on 5 Jan 24, having our 1st year wedding anniversary at the venue again was a no brainier.

The weather was potentially looking to go against us but luckily the snow was just enough to provide a winter wonderland backdrop.

Checked in at 3pm with no issues and having the honeymoon suite with a travel cot was perfect for us.
After having a walk around and remembering all the happy memories we have of the place we then had a fantastic dinner at the William De Percy with nothing too much of a fuss with our 10 month old. A lovely bottle of wine topped off our evening before relaxing in our room and even taking in some of the snowy views on balcony.

Breakfast the next day was fantastic with all of us enjoying everything (including our little one enjoying his porridge).

Checking out at 11am was perfect and great to see Annie and Tia and getting them to meet our son (who was just a bump the last time they saw us!)

Overall, another fantastic stay at Le Petit Château where nothing was too much to ask for and everyone was as friendly and helpful as ever. We're already looking forward to coming back again in the future!
