.Law actions don't tally with the words written on their website, when you attend the self-help meetings you’ll realise the staff are listeners not information givers, listening to information given by the parents who attends. The staff ask everyone to introduce themselves, they do the same but never mention their area of expertise or how long they've been a staff.
.Law tells you they'll contact people on your behalf getting you to sign a consent form giving them permission to do so but don't, when you remind them they haven't contacted the people in question, they say they would but still don't.
.Law recommend professionals that are in the business to destroy rather than help your case, when you tell them about this they get amnesia pretending they weren't the ones who recommended them and don't apologise for doing so
.Law say they help fight against corruption, racism, sexist and so on, but most of all help mothers fight to have their children back in their care. They tell parents don't give up fight in getting your children back, be consistent with contacts with your children and so on, they tell you don't worry they'll be supportive every step of the way. As a parent hearing this you put your trust in them. They are experts and experienced staff, taking their advice and carrying out whatever they tell you to do, but the moment you hit a hurdle, and tells them, instead of being supportive and helping you out of the hurdle, law tells you it's best to give into the system because if you don't and resist you won't be successful. It makes you think where their loyalty lie. An organisation that claims they fight against the system wouldn’t then tell a parent to give into the same system once that parent hits a hurdle.
.Law claims they are not legal experts, but ask you to send confidential legal documents for them to go through. When you do they don't give feedback on the documents
. Law have a trainee solicitor in attendance who doesn't really give advice or speaks, they don't have a team of experts that attends the meetings to give free advice or recommendations either.
. Law helps with emails/letters but sometimes strips away your voice. On occasions emails or letters you want looking over before sending out, are sometimes criticised, criticising you in front of everyone. Sometimes emails you send them are either ignored or they reply back late. Sending an urgent email is pointless as they tell you they'll get back to you but don't. Receiving phone calls from them isn't always done in private from their end.
.Law don't keep in contact, the only time you hear from them is when it's time for the picketing or self-help meetings and they send reminders
. Law claims to have been around for years but don't have statistics/ testimonies of parents they have successfully helped. There's a mother who is now a volunteer. For months we heard her story of children services wanting to place her child in a unit and how law was helping her, we heard about the high power judge who was allegedly corrupt, how the media got involved and so on. A few months later law and the mother told us her child isn't being removed from her care, we expected them to elaborate as to how this positive outcome came about but got nothing. For a case that claimed alleged corrupt judge with media attention, for them to give us nothing was a big disappointment. We were left with was this case real, was the mother an actress brought in to deceive us and more
. Law is an organisation that is set up to bring in numbers to help receive the funding they get, without the numbers there's no funding. It makes you think who is really funding law as nothing is given for free without some type of restriction in order to offer the services they do, law can't really fight against a corrupt system, they have shown they can't with their actions and words
. Parents attending the self-help meetings should be cautious because in the long run law will lead you down a path of failure than a path of success and stop communication with you altogether.
