I wrote a previous review under the profile Turn and Face Reactive dogs. It was a negative review after a very negative experience. Two years later, after a management change I have once again been involved with LRWT, and WOW WHAT a difference a few years makes!!! The new management team are committed and determined it seems, to undo the wrongs of the past and have a much more community minded, friendly approach in mind and in deed. WELL DONE to the new team for the new approach, your approachability and all that you are now doing for nature. Such a turn around! Well done all involved and thank you, for listening to the communities that live nearby.

I would like to remove the old review, but it wont let me back into it. So please anyone, feel free to report the post to get it removed. I am sorry I can not do it myself. I will keep trying.

So are dogs allowed off lead (but under control) as the SIGNS say at Cloud wood, or are they not? Mine where all within 4 metres of me and under good control (I am a full time dog trainer) when I was told rudely for the third time in a few months, to put them on leads. Whilst the 'conservationist's' dog was running lose and jumping up people and on previous occasion ripped my trousers. Access to this wood has been fenced off to locals who have grown up there and now parents have to take their children along a busy road to access the woods - so no one takes their children there anymore . This organisation is more about exclusion, restriction and alienation than it is about conservation. My father has now changed his will to withdraw the £100k that was bequeathed to them. And I have withdrawn my regular donations too.

This organisation has alienated and been rude to several locals, they ignore letters when they are sent, they ignore requests for permit application and they seem to change the rules as they see fit.

If this is conservation then it will be short lived with no effort made to encourage children and families, rather to exclude and be rude to them.

A very sad decline to a place once loved by many.

When I had to give up keeping injured Hedgehogs I donated the houses to this wonderful charity, they where so helpful I would highly recommend them to be supported by the general public for the job they do.

I phoned up about finding a badger in my back garden and the lady on the phone was very helpful, much more helpful that the RSPCA
